For the price, all right. Location is upstairs, nice view of ... Glostrup, but hey, a view. Staff…read morefriendly and nice. Food was all right. I had the frokostbøf, my wife the salmon steak. Both satisfied. Drinks - I had the draft Carlsberg Classic ... hm, go for bottled. Seemed to be the only restaurant in GC with any customers. Quality hint, that ... Place has individual tables, row tables and banquettes. Nice for a small company frokost. Good coffee at the end. Turks know coffee. Toilets not in the restaurant, but general ones in the white block at the other end, across the stairs. Check for paper towels and TP before you set up. So, one time, when I was heading West, I got stuck out on a highway, in the rain. Nobody stopped, and I was just about giving up hope, when this semi pulled up. Driver threw open the door and reached me inside. 'Welcome son', he said, 'my name's Big Joe, and this here rig is Phantom 309'. Man, the dashboard lit up, like an old Madame Larou pinball machine, when he threw it into gear and headed out on the hiway. Well, we got to talking - he told me his story and I told him mine. The miles slipped by, and the lights came and went. Presently he pulled up at a diner, and said 'this is about as far as I go, son. I'll be making a turn up ahead, at that crossroads, see'. And I'll be damned if he didn't toss me a dime as I climbed down. 'Here', he said, 'have yourself a cup of coffee on me', and he pulled off into the dark, the rear lights gone in no time flat. So, I went into that diner, and put my coin on the counter and said 'Cup of coffee, Big Joe's settin' up this dude'. Well, it got so deathly quiet in that diner, that you could hear a pin drop! 'What's the matter', I said, 'did I say something wrong', kinda looking around. 'No son', said the bartender, Tom, 'it's just that we all know Big Joe, you see. He used to come in here a while back. He drove his big rig, the Phantom 309, up and down that route out there. He knew the roads as the back of his hand, but one day, see, he came up to the crossroads out there, on a dark and stormy night, just as a bunch of schoolchildren crossed the road, and well, those kids would have been slaughtered, except Big Joe jackknifed his rig and saved those kids, but he died in the crash, see. But, every now and then a stranger, just as yourself, will come in here, who got a ride from Big Joe, and order up a cup of coffee'. He pushed the coin back to me. 'So here, this coffee's on the house, I'd kinda like you to hang on to that coin, as a memento of Big Joe, Big Joe and Phantom 309.'
