I decided to do jump start my fitness routine and did 1-on-1 personal training with Nate for about 4 weeks. The pricing for this was comparable to other gyms. Nate was very knowledgable and really helped me strive towards learning better form, what exercises worked best for my goals, and always changed up my routine so I didn't get bored. The other staff at SF were very friendly and knowledgable as well. The gym does occasionally get crowded from 4pm-7pm after work, and on Saturday mornings, but most gyms typically do. Still, I never really had to wait to get on a machine or equipment during even the busiest times. The facility was always clean and has showers in the locker rooms. Although I did not participate in the group classes, they do have multiple options and it seemed that people got a lot out of them. I would definately recommend Summer's Fitness to my friends and family.

It's one of the only traditional martial arts schools left in Ohio. The school has very a detailed requirement documents for every belt that must be met prior to being allowed to test. You must train, practice, review, work hard and demonstrate proficiency in your techniques in order to test for your next belt. Every test requires that you demonstrate proficiency in all prior techniques including the techniques for the belt you are testing for. A Black Belt from this school is someone who understands that it is training and practice that makes a Black Belt. Our Black Belts are confident in their ability to protect and defend themselves and others. Instructors and students at this school train, work hard, and support each other with advice on how to improve your skills. I really enjoy training at this school.

This facility is not friendly to Alumni families. Faculty/Staff/Students or community members are all offered the option of a family membership but not Alumni. Our teenager can not even come and walk on the track or play basketball for less than a $10/day guest pass. I don't expect child care, or other offerings for kids, but it would be nice to have a family pass so we can all get some exercise together. If you have kids of any age, stick with the YMCA.

There are opportunities to train 5 times a week which a lot of places don't offer. At GT BJJ there are: no complicated contracts, no specific gi requirements, no paying for belt testing, and the instructors roll with all students.
