Took my dad's Silverado here for 4 new tires. The next day, the brakes started locking up and the caliper on the driver's side ran hot. Mavis brushed it off and said it wasn't related. Another mechanic found the caliper was a completely different part than the others -- very suspicious. No help, no ownership. Extremely disappointed and won't return. read more

The systems pricing do NOT match at all. Online quotes are worthless as they will just make up charges it seems. Asked for explanation and they told me to call corporate. Corporate then either puts you on hold or hangs up. Finally got a supervisor to tell me there were no errors. The guy asked for a 5 star review the day of the service. As a new person in the area with no family in town, when I pulled up to work in P.I. and saw my tire was leaking, I was stressed. After waiting on uber with no luck, I had to walk several miles to Mavis to get my car. On the way, I was given "several propositions" by passerbys and was really out of sorts. When I walked in to pick up my car and told Joe at the front desk about my walk, he said to not even worry about the tire. They are saints and made me feel much better today. read more

I can't express how grateful I am for Mavis Tire. I got a flat tire late in the evening while driving from Florida back home to Virginia, I plugged it on the side of the road to make it to Georgetown for the night but it needed to be replaced before I could drive the rest of the way home. I called a few different tire shops and Mavis was the only one I found that had the correct tire in stock, I was able to schedule an appointment within hours of calling and they had the new tire mounted and balanced in less than an hour for a very reasonable price. I'd recommend them to anybody, my experience here makes me wish I had a Mavis Tire location near where I live. read more

Mavis Discount Tire is a great business. I had some car issues that needed attention and the staff at this store were friendly, professional and efficient. They were able to repair my car on the same day and were finished with repairs in a less than expected timeframe. The fees for parts and labor are also competitive. they were supposed to fix a tire that had a leak on my car they ended up working on a tire that had nothing wrong with it and was on the opposite side of the car I told them the tire was on the tire still has not been fixed and they still charged me $20 read more

after spending over $1000 here in last year, I went again to get a flat fixed. Found all 8 bays empty and looked forward to a fast fix. One hour after checking in no one touched my car or spoke to me. Lots of people moving about but only one guy working. Got my key and left and a small shop down the street had me professionally fixed in 15 minutes. I have no quarrel about prices or quality but the customer service mentality is definitely missing. read more

The folks at Hill Tire are courteous, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Our family vacation ended with a transmission failure as we were headed home one Saturday through Georgetown. Limped the vehicle into a gas station where someone recommended Hill Tire to us. The manager at Hill Tire drove our Avalanche to assess the problem, which he found outside his realm of service (needed parts, etc., and local dealership mtnce.dept was closed until Monday). He then arranged for us to be towed 150 miles to our home! This was above and beyond the scope of his duties, but his company was willing to accommodate our family, saving us money, time, and trouble. We will write a separate letter to the company commending the nice young man who towed us home. We are glad we found Hill Tire! read more
