The store is awesome and laid out great. Boys on the left, girls on the right. My biggest issue is their sales prices. As an example, their free swinging flannel was marked down from 49(ish) to 25. Opinion 49 is too much. Anyway, went to get one. Got to the cashier. You can not see what they are charging you. So I had to to wait till they completed the ringing up. Then I questioned the charges. Come to find out that only certain colors/patterns were in sale. The way you identified them was a white spot on the tag. But, nothing tells you anything about that. So ended up not getting a shirt. And apparently the cashier does not have the ability to make the call that would at at least save a sale.

The JC Penney company has been on the decline for more than a decade. This particular store is in…read morean old brick warehouse building in a part of Canton that has a road which is unlined, and is confusing to the driver who isn't aware of the city's negligence of the street. The store is usually in order and the customer service is located on the top floor way in the back, which is inconvenient to the customer. I've been disappointed over the years in the few times I have shopped here, because it appears that Penney's is trying to put itself on the same terms as more of a Macy's store, and this is reflected in Penney's inflated prices on clothing. Even though there are coupons offered, shopping in store is a turn off because I'm not going to pay $50 for a pajama set, supposedly being on sale. Nor pay inflated prices on articles of clothing that are synthetic, being blended with "recycled polyester." Finding a sportcoat at Penney's that is 100% wool is now almost futile. It's a shame too, because once upon a time, before the Insane Man's tariffs on everything, Penney's was an affordable, middle-class store that offered stylish dress clothing without the ludicrous "recycled polyester" that is in everything. The store employees seem to be all right, though I've seldom been asked if I need help, or have been acknowledged with even eye contact. Thus, the experience of shopping at Canton Penney's is one which leaves me devoid of the feeling that I can go in and find what I want, without the nagging thought that most of the merchandise is cheaply made but not cheaply priced.

Some of my Booty included two sweaters one was a Poof ($12.99) and the other was Simply Couture ($16.99), and an embellished duster ($12.99), five work shirts - 3 of them were Harve Benard which I like that brand. Two activewear tops one was $1 and one was $3, one casual top which was $5, two blanket storage bags for $4 each, a REALLY sexy bra and panty set for $7 and two packs of Christmas-themed socks that completely humiliated my family when they put them on their feet X-mas Eve!  All of that for $140! They had a fair selection of household goods as well. Staff here was friendly and there was plenty of parking with easy access to the streets.
