I have been meaning to write this review for a while because the service was so good and I want people to know that. I was assisting a couple (both friends of mine) with their wedding planning, which was planned for March 2019 in Maui. That previous summer, I had volunteered to handle the search for a room block as well as coordinate room type requests with their two dozen guests. The couple had suggested I reach out to Maui Room Blocks, which they had found and reviewed a bit on their own before I was involved. I'll add that they live in Chicago, I live in New York, and the wedding was obviously in Maui, so now we were dealing with three time zones that spanned 5-6 hours (depending on the time of year). Soon after I reached out to Kauilei in late summer 2018, we had our first couple of live conversations. That's when I knew we were in good hands. Kauilei was on top of the planning from the start. She provided multiple options with very good quotes, allowed us enough time to review each hotel on our own before making a decision, and then helped facilitate the contract negotiation and acceptance once we were ready to commit to a resort. We went with the Marriott Wailea Beach Resort and found that the hotel grounds, rooms, amenities, restaurants and bars, services, and hotel staff were top notch. Kauilei helped us organize rooms that were near each other for those guests that were traveling together or needed adjacent rooms for larger family sizes. She also helped us book a short stretch of rooms that had their own private decks along the poolside so that some of the younger adults could hang out together by the pool day and night, but still be off to the side in their own private outdoor poolside area (which each had direct access from those decks into their rooms through their own sliding glass doors). That was a very nice touch and we ended up hanging out on those decks pretty much each day. Additionally, Kauilei knew the on-site events team and she helped coordinate planning with the hotel, like a pre-wedding reception at the hotel before the entire wedding party had to board a bus and leave for the wedding itself. The overall attention to detail from start to finish (summer 2018 to March 2019) along with her availability and flexibility for any phone calls (even around the time zone differences) made planning the room block and wedding extras much easier. I would highly recommend booking through Maui Room Blocks and working with Kauilei for any weddings in Maui. Honestly, everyone that attended the wedding found the room planning so seamless and accommodations so top notch that we could not recommend her enough for making that happen. read more

I am so happy I found Maui Room Blocks! My fiance and I both live on Maui, and we were stressing out about reserving hotel rooms for our friends and family who are traveling from Oahu and the mainland. We went to a few hotels in Wailea and the staff wasn't very friendly and made us feel very rushed. When they finally sent us a quote, the "discounted" rates didn't seem discounted at all! I must have had a bridezilla moment because my wedding coordinator picked up on it. When I told her what happened, she immediately referred me to call Maui Room Blocks. She said they were a new company, but were the best people to assist with setting up group hotel rooms for weddings. I trust my wedding coordinator, so I called Maui Room Blocks, and was connected with Kauilei. Kauilei is the owner, and she assisted me throughout the entire process. Talking to her made me feel at ease. Since we live on the island, we were also able to meet with in person to go over the hotel contract. She is so sweet, and knows a lot about room blocks!!!! I had a million questions about the contract, and she broke it down into terms that I could understand, and made sense to me. I can't say how happy I am that we were connected with Maui Room Blocks!!! Our wedding is coming up in August 2016 and we have 75 guests flying in from out of town. Kauilei got us amazing room rates at two resorts in Wailea, and helped us reserve room blocks at both. Plus, since my fiance and I are planning on staying at the hotel before the wedding and for a few nights after, Kauilei arranged for an upgrade to a beautiful suite at a hugely discounted price!!!! I am so excited for our wedding and I am so excited for our stay. If you need help with setting up your wedding room block, do not hesitate to call Maui Room Blocks. They are so friendly, professional, and will get you the best deal. Plus, they are located in Maui, so they really know a lot about each hotel. We found Maui Room Blocks while we were researching hotels to recommend for our wedding guests. We had been to Maui (Kaanapali) once before, but had never been to Wailea. We heard Wailea is the most beautiful place on Maui, so obviously we wanted to marry in Wailea. As we were researching online, we sent out a bunch of inquiries to wedding vendors, Maui Room Blocks included. They were the only vendor who responded back to me that day! We scheduled a call to talk the next day, and meeting Kauilei was like an answer to my prayers, lol! She was so patient and kind over the phone. She is also very knowledgable about the island and the wedding industry. I found out that she is Hawaiian and grew up and lives on Maui. I also found out that she went to college near where I live in Pacific Palisades! I felt an instant connection to her and was so happy I found her. She helped me so much, not only with our hotels, but also with recommending a wedding coordinator and venues. We ended up working with the coordinators she recommended. Kauilei made my planning stress-free and I cannot thank her enough! We had 120 guests so we ended up setting up 2 room blocks- one at the Marriott Wailea and one at a higher-end hotel, the Fairmont Kealani. Our guests had mixed budgets, and these two hotels were a perfect fit. I'm not too sure how Kauilei did it, but she got us an incredible rate at both hotels. Our group rates were over $150 less than any other websites, plus she also got the resort fee discounted for all my guests! Our room was gorgeous and we loved the champagne and strawberries. Working with Maui Room Blocks was the best decision. You can tell Kauilei really cares, and she is so sweet. Plus there's no cost (which I couldn't believe). We had an amazing experience with Maui Room Blocks! Kauilei was such a joy to work with! She is personal, prompt, and professional. She grew up on Maui and has a wealth of information in the hospitality and wedding industry. We told her what we were looking for and she made sure all of our requests were met. She helped us determine the appropriate hotel and booked all reservations for our wedding group. The process was extremely seamless! I had a big group coming to Maui for my wedding, and Kauilei was super knowledgeable, was able to recommend hotels based on my needs, answer all my questions, and set up a room block that gave my guests discounts and worked really well for everyone.
