The photo samples I sent, my descriptions and our conversations made it was very clear that I wanted low & long flowers in a specific color palette. Did not expect to see long stems at all as we wanted it low. I even gave approx dimensions. This was months before the wedding. We had also agreed on delivery an hour before the event to the Ritz Carlton. I have to say I was very disappointed. I got TALL arched flowers (20-24 inches tall), lots of stems showing in very small disposable florist planters and not really the colors we discussed. Flower were not on the table until 15 min before the event (I had to call 2x). I was very, very disappointed. I did text the owner to let her know and was basically gaslighted......What's interesting is the venue wanted me to use their florist, but I insisted on Sunyas b/c I was so confident we had really agreed on everything. I don't think doing all their business through texting is the best idea. I have a feeling that who ever actually did the flowers for us had not seen the photos we exchanged or been given much detail.

I didn't want a ton of frills- I wanted simple, but unique and pink proteas were just right! We stayed on budget but kept things very classy. Boo.), so I wanted to send them a bouquet of local flowers to remind them that I wish I could be there and that I was thinking of them. I shopped around for florists online, and found Maui Blooms' prices to be, by far, the most reasonable. I placed an order for a $50 arrangement, and, given my previous experiences with florists, I expected that that price may get me one or two flowers and some shrubbery. A few hours after I placed my order, I called Maui Blooms, just to verify that everything was in order. The lady with whom I spoke could NOT have been sweeter or more pleasant. She wished me a Merry Christmas in Hawaiian, and laughed along with me when I replied, "Um...you too? I think? What does that mean?" She thanked me profusely for my order (in Hawaiian, of course. Loved it.), and said that they were about to close for the day, but if it was really important, she would be willing to send someone out with the delivery that day. How nice is that??? I assured her that the next day was just fine. She then told me that the personal message I had written to be included with the arrangement was a little long for the small note cards they usually attach to their flowers, so she was going to PERSONALLY TYPE IT UP AND PRINT IT OUT. What?!?! Really?!?! Maui Blooms really has this customer service thing down, and many other businesses could learn a lot from them. Small acts of kindness and accommodation are the things that motivate me to continually patronize a business for years. Anyhoo, when I got a picture of the arrangement from my boyfriend, I was beyond pleasantly surprised. It was huge and gorgeous, and much more than I expected for the money I paid (see picture). They included the printed note I had written the family, as well as one of their usual notecards inscribed, on my behalf, "Aloha, From Lindsay". So adorable. I don't live anywhere near Maui, but should I ever again have the occasion to purchase flowers there, I will march my happy ass straight to Maui Blooms. A big thank you to the staff at MB!!!

I brought my Mother to Maui for her 80th Birthday and brought her sister (My Aunty) as well…read more It was both their first time to any island in Hawaii and I was able to spoil them with great accommodations, dinners, a Luau, shopping and even matching pineapple tattoos. Less than a week prior to coming to Maui I thought to have 4 flower arrangements delivered to the condo. I used Yelp to find a few florists to get a quote and Maui Blooms was my second to call and after speaking with Sandy I was sold. Sandy was more than helpful and her and her designer came up with two gorgeous large arrangements and two gorgeous small to medium arrangements. Maui Blooms was also able to deliver into our condo before we arrived so it was so nice to walk into condo with such beautiful local flowers. A couple days before we arrived Maui Blooms also accommodated us with two beautiful leis and one Kukui Nut lei as well. The arrangements lasted the entire 7 days that we were there and decided to leave them for the housekeeping staff. Thank You Sandy and Maui Blooms for making our stay even more special.

She was so kind, accommodating, and genuinely helped us put our money towards things that were necessary. We could tell that Terrie was working from her heart and not from a place of profits or just sales; which meant the world to us because we were already wayyyy over our wedding budget. She worked extremely hard to make sure we were happy; we felt bad that she would even take our calls after hours and while she was in her car. Every time we spoke to her it felt like family or as they say in Hawaii "Ohana." We wanted something super simple that complimented the natural beauty of the flowers and trees that were already at our venue..."I mean it is Maui," and that's exactly what she did. TERRIE ASKED US A REALLY GOOD QUESTION. Although we didn't have a bridal party for our wedding, she suggested boutonnieres and wrist corsages for our parents and siblings, and we originally opted out. She didn't push it but said that it was a great way to honor our immediate family and we later agreed. Our family members felt super special so my ADVICE is to listen to Terrie, she knows what she's doing. I wish we met her early on because she would have kept us more calm and relaxed but everything all worked out since she was kind enough to stop by our wedding during the set up and after. If you want beautiful flowers, design, honesty, someone who listens, and a piece of mind...Terrie will give you all that and more. Sending our love and happiness from California.

I tried calling multiple times, messaged on all platforms, and I got no response. Thankfully, the flowers were delivered on the promised day, but they arrived later in the day and were not what I ordered. I understand substitutions happen, but it could have been better.
