You'll find the same products for a quarter of the price online. Here's my experience: I purchased a mattress of $1,500 value and a 5 years warranty extra. The salesman guaranteed that mattress of this quality would last for many years. I was happy to buy it. After 6 months I started feeling some back pain and realized that the mattress was sagging a lot but I just lived with it for a while. After a year I started to have very bad back pain, I had consultations with some doctors and after spending a lot of money in scans and physical therapy, one of the last doctors I saw told me that the mattress could have been the issue. I slept one day on the floor and I got much better. I realized that the mattress was completely defective and i was basically sinking inside it (see picture attached). The mattress got completely unusable after only 6 months while the salesman promised that I would have lived with it for even more than 5 years. I contacted Mattress Firm store to request a replacement of the defective mattress based on my extra purchased 5 years warranty. They told me to contact another company because Mattress Firm apparently was not responsible. The truth is that they sold me a third party warranty, which it was never mentioned during the sale. I contacted the third party warranty agency called 4warranty. They asked me to submit a claim and they would send a third party technician (not 4warranty and not MattressFirm) to check the mattress. The first appointment available was after 10 days. Take in consideration that all this time, I've still being sleeping on the floor! Here's the scam: The technician arrived and took a picture from the top of the mattress without any weight on top of the mattress. And that's it, he left after 1 minute. I called 4warranty after 5 days, as I didn't receive any update, and they told me that the claim was denied because the mattress had less than 3/4 of an inch in sagging. Of course it was less than 3/4 of an inch. How can you expect to have any sagging if there is absolutely no weight on top of the mattress? When I purchased the mattress, which was considered a firm mattress, it was like a rock, barely adjusting to any weight. After less than one year I would be sinking completely inside. I called again Mattress Firm store and they refused to give me the money back claiming that they are not responsible for warranties. Conclusion: Mattress Firm performs fraudulent activities by promising high quality, long lasting products with full covered warranties and instead providing with cheap bad quality products not lasting even 6 months and selling third party warranties that are purely a scam.
