I highly recommend Eric Schneider, he is smart, knowledgable, thorough and attentive throughout the process. Having a lawyer who pays close attention to detail can make a significant difference. That's really important, especially when safety is a concern. Eric made sure everything where the law is concerned is followed and carried out. He continues to be a great resource when I have questions and responds quickly. I would highly recommend Eric Scnheider. I am beyond pleased with my experience. Thank you Eric Schneider for your assistance.

I first met with Eric through a free consultation, and felt that he was very thorough, knowledgeable, and no BS. I still wanted to have more options and called different law offices. I was very hesitant as I have never worked with an attorney before and heard many horror stories of law offices being in it for the money. I did not get that feeling with Eric. What I felt was that every penny spend was worth it. Eric and his team helped me get through one of the most difficult parts of my life. Everything from the communications to the billing has been nothing but thorough and professional. My only concern is that, should I ever need to work with another attorney on a completely unrelated matter, my expectations may now be impossibly high.

I wanted to get a pre-marital agreement done years before I even got engaged. But in pure…read moreGrace-style, I procrastinated because I am the worst kind of introvert (contact strangers for services? Uh... maybe tomorrow). In any case, I waited way too long to look for one (Don't wait until you have less than a month to go before you plan to get married -- ignore Google on that one that says you can start 3 to 1 months. My advice -- start at 3 months; otherwise you might not find someone to do one given that time frame). I did a search around for reviews both here and on Google and general family lawyer sites. The reviews on Yelp were the most helpful since it brought me to Steven as a few people specifically mentioned how Steven was really thoughtful throughout the entire process, and it seemed like he still worked on prenuptials (sometimes it is hard to tell in some of these reviews on Yelp where they are several years old and some firms listed here no longer work on premarital agreements). I was incredibly lucky to contact him right before he definitely would have said we did not have time. He let me know that we would be working with an very tight timeline, but it would be completely possible as long as my partner knew what we both wanted. My partner had contacted a few people that said "no way, not with that timeline", and I know if Steven had other cases or had to give services to other people he might not have said yes. I got a list of possible lawyers from Steven to hand to my partner, and one of them was nice enough to agree to an advisory role. I had to pay an additional amount due to the rushed nature which was completely fair (and expected). Process: We gathered all the information we needed in the next couple of days, banged out a loose document of what our agreement was, sent it over to Steven to create the first draft of the premarital agreement based on that information and we were able to finalize it from both parties in just over three days. Please note that neither of us had complicated histories so it was easier for us to come to an agreement than it might be for others who have more financial details. Communication: He was incredibly clear in all of his communication with me, on what he needed me to do, what we were waiting on, and the current status. He talks fast but was able to convey all the information I needed to know in a concise manner. It was incredibly helpful. Now if all my coworkers could do the same... In all seriousness, if you need to get a premarital agreement drawn up, I highly recommend Steven. From the short impression I gathered from the small handful lawyers my partner contacted, Steven is an absolute standout. So thank you! In addition, I really appreciated his assistant who was also very clear with her communication and kind when initially finding a time to have him call me upon first exchange. Thank you again Steven!

Nobody ever wants to find themselves looking for a family law attorney. However, if you're in the…read moreposition where you need one, I could not recommend Michaela enough. This woman knows the law forwards and backwards. Michaela could name case laws off the top of her head. She could name family law codes on the spot without hesitation. She would do this actively, in court, and off the cuff. The confidence and powerful presence she had was palpable. She knew EVERYONE down to the bailiffs. I was in awe every single time we left the courthouse. I was fortunate enough to have Michaela help me navigate through one of the darkest seasons of my life. She was determined to keep myself and my children safe. That was her top priority. She refused to let me accept flimsy offers which would not protect my children and me long term. Michaela doesn't only think about what's best now, she thinks about the best course of action to maintain continuity 10 years from now. Michaela ensures, as best as humanly possible, I will not need to be a repeat client. Simply speaking, to Michaela, that means she did her job properly and up to her own ridiculously high standards. She would not waver until she secured a stable future for us. You won't find that kind of integrity in most law offices. She is extremely direct, and she will be the first to admit her delivery can be intense. But you have to remember, with 36 years experience under her belt, she's a no nonsense, cut to the chase, and not entertaining what she knows is futile just for billable hours, type-of-attorney. In the end, I won HUGE on EVERY issue brought before the court. Michaela kept my expectations grounded. She under promised and then immediately proceeded to over deliver. The court order was beyond my wildest dreams and far surpasses what is the "norm" for SD County. This was after it being my ex whom filed first, which can often give the petitioner (my ex) an edge. Michaela said, "hold my legal pad" and came in like a wrecking ball. Over the 18 months we were in court, my ex was also ordered to pay about 95% of my attorneys fees. She is the ambassador of FAFO. Michaela dog walked my ex's attorney (from a well known firm) so bad that he ended up hiring a new firm towards the end. Once the new firm was involved, Michaela was able to mediate a very favorable settlement for me. I truly hope you never need Michaela. But if you do, she should be the only person you consider. She will always put you and your children's safety first above everything. That kind of peace is priceless, especially when she gets your ex to fund it.

Michaela and her team were attentive and proactive at the beginning of my case, but after I paid the second retainer, I noticed a clear decline in communication and effort. Michaela frequently solicits business from vulnerable women in a social media group that I am in, and I regret that I fell victim to this practice. Over time, it became evident that my case was being neglected, which ultimately led me to hire a new attorney to correct and complete the work that should have been handled by her team. After receiving my second retainer, they provided little to no attention to my case, were delayed in filing key paperwork, and my new lawyer even noted concern, stating she could see why I chose to terminate Michaela's services. Despite their lack of follow-through, the firm only refunded about 10% of my payment.
