We were told around November that we were next in line and put our deposit down on a lot. We just moved into our home two weeks ago (November 2022). From the very first conversation, Mike Swaleh and Gustavo España treated my file with the kind of attention and ownership you rarely see in this industry. As an out-of-state investor working on a DSCR loan, I expected the usual headaches -- endless document requests, slow underwriting, and last-minute surprises. Instead, I got the exact opposite: a clean, organized process where every step was explained in advance and every deadline was hit ahead of schedule. What truly set Mike and Gustavo apart was their communication. They were genuinely responsive -- answering emails late at night, taking calls on short notice, and proactively reaching out whenever something on my end needed attention. They understood the nuances of investment-property financing, structured the DSCR loan in a way that actually worked for my long-term strategy, and were never pushy or salesy. When small underwriting questions came up (as they always do), they handled them quietly behind the scenes instead of pushing the work back onto me. Mike and…read morehis team had clear and concise communication, were able to pivot when hurdles would arise (during the loan process they almost always do), and always had a Plan A and B when they called to navigate the hurdles. Even with multiple aspects to our loan - we did a purchase loan in conjunction with a bridge loan - we remained ahead of schedule of all of our loan related deadlines to the point we could've closed escrow over a week early. He also listened to what we wanted to do based on our financial situation and put together a plan that made sense or us. Mike runs a well oiled machine and his processes make purchasing a home go as smooth as possible. Even after closing on our house he has remind a resource for us and is still prompt in answering questions and providing us support.
