Jezebel vonZephyr. What can I say that will encompass the amazing experience I had? Well... a lot…read more I've already rewritten this because I could EASILY write 2 or 3 pages singing the praise!! (no really, my last attempt had already reached a whole page and I wasn't even done yet!) First. Body Positivity? Jezebels has it in SPADES! And not the fake body positivity that's kinda toxic and icky. I mean they really want to help everyone celebrate their female form. Boudoir can often bring really specific vibes to mind, leaving people with bigger bodies, smaller bodies, "straighter" bodies feeling unsure how to participate. HAVE NO FEAR, JEZEBEL VONZEPHYR IS HERE! They will help you with everything. If you have ideas, great! They'll work with them. If you have NO ideas, that's ok! Their creativity seems to know no bounds. If you have extensive collections of sexy, sultry things, bring them on it! If not, they have an amazing treasure trove of...everything: bras, panties, corsets, stockings, shoes, dresses, skirts, tops, robes, jewelry, etc. And they post videos going through their client closet so you can get an idea ahead of time of what might excite you to try! These Client Closet tours are posted on their Facebook group which is another amazing thing about them. The people in this Facebook group are so kind and they are 100% here to hype you up and help celebrate you as you are. Besides glimpses into the client closet, they also feature "Seize the Selfie" posts encouraging group members to post any selfie where they were really feeling themselves. It's truly a great community they're building. On the actual day of my photoshoot, I packed up my stuff and went to their absolutely amazing studio. They have 9 sets and at least one that gets updated throughout the year. I got to experience this one in the "Something Wicked This Way Comes" setup. Gorgeous! It's giving darkness. It's giving sensuous. It's giving "I have your heart in my hand... literally as well as figuratively". To say I felt powerful on this set would be an understatement. 100% no notes. Sarah worked with what I brought and supplemented from the client closet as needed. She picked pieces I never would have considered but everyone had done so much to cultivate this air of trust and safety that I knew I could just RUN with it. Sometimes, you gotta let the professionals do their stuff, you know?! I think the thing that floored me the most was the inclusion of my walking stick. I have a few health conditions that can make it hard to hold poses, do stairs, or just... remain steady. Since the studio DOES have some serious stairs, I'd brought it to make sure I could get up there. Sarah was immediately on board with working my walking stick (I mean... it's more like a staff, being over 4 or 5 ft) into the sessions. I know I mentioned body positivity but let me just say it again. TALK ABOUT BODY POSITIVITY! We're not going to hide this mobility aid; we're going to celebrate ALL of you and that includes this. From the minute I walked in, to the minute I walked out, and if I'm being honest it's been a continuing feeling since then, I felt celebrated and powerful. I haven't even had my image reveal appointment yet and I'm already percolating ideas for another go! Addicted? Uh... yeah, maybe a bit *heart emoji* This photo is a fun (and family-friendly) reminder of my amazing day. While I was getting my makeup down by the amazing Angelica (please forgive me if I get your name wrong, you were an amazing INTEGRAL part of the day!), Sarah came over with a bunch of cards. I just let the spirit direct me to the right card and I pulled this amazing quote. I had definitely been feeling like I'd gotten L after L recently and this was exactly the message I needed. Yes, there were tears. Afterwards, I not only got this amazing image as a reminder (yeah, those origami stars were something I brought to work into the session) but I also got the actual card and a super saucy Polaroid memento!!!

I saw their ad. Thought it looked good. Thought I read all of what they offer, but apparently not…read more I got their estimate for getting the pics taken...($3**.00), but I did not see the fine print where digital copies are an extra $3**.00. Before I saw the fine print about the digital photos costing an arm and a leg, I put down the $3**.00 for scheduling a time. Then, when they called me to confirm everything, I told them I can't afford $6**.00 to $7**.00 for photos with digital. That's just way too much. They said they couldn't give me a refund....(wtf), so I told them, you'll be seeing my comment on Yelp! It seems scammy to me.

The photographer showed me a couple pictures she took as we went along and they looked great! Id been trying hard on my diet for my wedding and i left feeling like maybe i didnt need to push so hard that maybe i was pretty gorgeous already. Unfortunately as soon as i got to the review meeting i was completely deflated. The couple pictures i was shown during the shoot vs what i viewed after were very different. I thought she had been getting amazing angles and when i saw them at the review i realized that was very much not the case.any were like.. wow couldnt have been a worse angle for that shot. I went from 200 photos to 24 that were bare-able in less than 5 minutes and im not overly hard on myself. It made me feel like i needed to diet twice as hard now because of it :(. I was really surprised the photographer didnt fix my hair in so many of them when it looked obviously a mess and she didnt get me from a good angle in many of them. That being said, I did find a couple pictures i ended up buying cause they came with my groupon and werent too bad, but man... i was so disappointed. I gave them a 4/5 because the shoot itself was so uplifting and fun and easy, the prices are very reasonable compared to so many other companies, and the customer service was great. I would recommend but be prepared to need to pay for the upgraded touchups... they get you with that. I couldnt give the full 5 because i was so disappointed in the pictures themselves. I feel like they could have easily taken pictures at a better angle and let me know my hair looked all messed up in a bad way (cause there is a good messy- this wasnt it). It wasnt sexy.. and now i also dont feel very sexy. You get what you pay for so 4/5 it is.

I was so excited during my viewing appointment and then my jaw dropped when I heard the price for 30 something photos. They said we could do a payment plan, at this rate I might have the photos by next valentine's day. While that was very disappointing, I loved the experience and photos so much I was still riding the high of all the excitement. Sadly, I lost my job due to COVID and am not able to make the $300 monthly scheduled payment, so I call in and ask to put it on hold and they tell me I must pay at least a minimum of $50 per month. This upset me deeply, I have rent to pay and while this was supposed to be a fun surprise it's not my top priority right now. I'm sad I've invested so much money into something that feels like there's no gain. I'm not excited anymore
