I will admit, I've used the online frame companies before but knew this project needed more specialized TLC. I found Art of Framing and figured I'd try them out. I'm so glad I did! The picture reveal made my husband and I teary eyed. He and Melissa truly breathed new life into a family heirloom. I'm so grateful for their care and expertise!

They had taken a old antique family chair and brought it to life again beautifully. I had chosen a heavy velvet fabric and was unsure of how it would work and was readying myself for disappointment in case it didn't, but that was not the case. The original historic fit was perfect and the craftsmanship was evident. Great job! Thank you so much for bringing tears of joy to me and having this treasured piece back again in my home for generations of use to come! Highly recommend!

I have tried a number of framing places over the years including local independently owned and…read morechain store places. North Penn Art surpasses everyone by a mile. And by other reviews you can see that they've had consistently great business for years and years and years. I just brought with me to Illinois one of the very large pieces they had framed They offer a unique and perfect system for hanging a piece which makes it very easy to level. In my move I lost some of the hardware. They graciously sent me replacement pieces and I am so happy to have the wonderfully framed peace now hanging again with me in my temporary apartment in Illinois. The way I found North Penn Art was by entering a photo contest. It was suggested to use North Penn Art to print and mat our pieces. We could go anywhere we wanted but they mentioned North Penn Art. If professional photographers use a certain printing and framing place you know it's going to be good. And it is!!! THANK YOU TEAM NORTH PENN ART!! ~Diane

The restoration was OUTSTANDING! I am beyond pleased with how it turned out. It was a little pricey, in my opinion, but I really have no idea how much these things tend to cost. (See large photo below for the finished project). Permit this post to provide a brief backstory. In summer 2019, we "rescued" this vintage Dorothy Draper "Viennese" bench from Maryland. The bench was in unloved condition: Poorly reupholstered, shabby, and painted in gray latex paint (over the original lacquer and gold leaf). (See first small photo below). We began the rehab process last summer. This spring, my husband beautifully re-lacquered the bench, and he applied gold-leaf paint to the rosettes and other decorative elements. (See second small photo). At long last, on June 10, we delivered the bench to an upholsterer with whom we had previously worked. A week later, she provided a labor and materials estimate that was unequivocally outrageous. When gently pressed, she could not explain her numbers; she instead petulantly insisted that the numbers were appropriate for a small business. On June 20, we rescued the bench for a second time. On June 21, we delivered the bench to Feasterville Upholstery (also a small business) which had provided a firm estimate that was 40% of the first one. Here's the astonishing plot twist in the Dorothy Draper bench "dramedy": Feasterville Upholstery completed the project less than three hours after the bench's drop off (see third small photo, which Feasterville texted from the shop). The bench is home, and we could not be more thrilled with the result despite the unnecessary drama created by an unscrupulous contractor and the ensuing bench rescue from Chester County.

Robb B's Furniture Repair was truly impressive. I strongly recommend this business for furniture…read morerepair. Robb B and the team were organized and professional, with reasonable prices. I contacted Robb B to fix the stitching on my 7-year-old sofa where the seam was separating. After submitting an inquiry on their website on a Sunday morning, Kiara B replied by text within 20 minutes. Kiara was easy to work with, answered every question professionally, and scheduled me for the following Saturday morning to come to my house. Robb B arrived on time and finished the task in 20 minutes. The couch repair was so effective that the work is invisible; honestly, the stitching looks better than the original manufacturer's, and I expect it to last indefinitely. Robb B's personality and professionalism stood out. It is clear he enjoys his work, so this is not just another job. I noticed immediately that Robb is a major Philly sports fan, and we shared a pleasant conversation about Philly sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles . After seeing his work, I would trust him with any future project, and I plan to book him again, including refinishing a woodblock table and reinforcing more stitching on the sofa. Robb, I cannot thank you enough for your excellent work and for saving me from buying a new couch. Go Birds!!
