Our grade 12, math 30-1 son was having great difficulties with math 30. We researched the best tutors in town and Mathpro came up. We were also referred to Mathpro by friends of ours who also enrolled their kid in the program. They are very happy with the service and so are we so far. His grades are coming up (from as low as 30% to 70% and above), but we have much more work to do. His tutor is very knowledgeable and seems to take time to explain things clearly. The admin are math people, they know their stuff and run a highly structured business. They've been doing this for quite some time. We'd previously tried a casual tutor (a retired math teacher) who did a good job with our son but didn't have the resources at his disposal that Mathpro does. They have thousands of sample questions, websites, booklets, practice sheets, etc. that they use to help the kid. Its also very helpful that the owners know the curriculum inside and out as well as what is required to enter University. We are very pleased so far and are pleased to "invest" in our son's education. I say invest because this does not come cheaply. But as they say, "you get what you pay for". read more

My daughter is currently receiving Math 30 tutoring. She was struggling a little and from the first consultation, she was confident that she could bring up her mark. Mathpro was very accommodating with her busy schedule and we were able to find 3 nights a week without interrupting her other activities. Raymond is her tutor and even after a busy day of school, after school band and then her sport, she is excited to meet with him. She says he's able to explain everything concisely and is not boring! Giving her this extra help has been so beneficial with Covid mixed in. Her regular teacher has had to take time off with any sort of sniffle and subs don't know math 30. So these students are expected to learn whole units with just a textbook. Our only regret is not starting MathPro sooner. read more

Our gr 9 daughter, struggling since gr 3 implementation of inquiry based math, has finally started to understand what is being taught in school, only because of her private tutor at MathPro! She immediately grasped what wasn't coming across to her in classroom with her tutor's expertise and explanations. Our son has struggled with Math for much of his elementary years. We have tried multiple other tutoring services including private tutors as well as other larger organizations, and unfortunately had not found much improvement. We started with MathPro Crowfoot at the end of our sons grade 8 year, within 1 week (3 sessions) our son had improved confidence in his knowledge and abilities. Math pro has proven to be very helpful and I am more than happy with how well I have already progressed in pre calculus with their help. Sessions are well structured, tailored to the students' individual needs and homework is assigned that allows you to practice what you had worked on alongside the tutor. Course content is made available on their site, which provides even more help and opportunity to practise. A progress reporting system is also incorporated, where you can keep track of your improvements and areas you may need more help with, so both you and your tutor can make the most of every session. Math 10C I registered my son with MathPro about 5 weeks ago to improve his math. He is going to start High School in September and I worried that he would be stressed out by the fast pace and challenging study load. I did not hold my expectation high. To my surprise, he connected with the tutor, Evan, right away and he was every excited to tell me how much he learned during the 1.5 hours session. We have been using MathPro for just over 2 years now. We have recently moved to their Crowfoot location and it is a wonderful learning space for my grade 11 daughter. We like the MathPro as it is a well organized learning centre. Student needs to check in/out electronically which promotes safety. Progress report after each class is an effective communication tool for both student and parents. When we had questions, administrative is quick to respond. More importantly, our child can focus and improve her math effectively in their calm and quiet class room. read more

My son recently started tutoring for Math 30-1 with Scarlet at MathPro. He says the sessions are efficient and she does a great job explaining math. On his first test after starting tutoring, he got a 99% which was a huge improvement! I've also found that David, the owner, is very responsive with communicating by phone or email. Scarlet is the best tutor I have ever had. She is so calm, patient, and amazing at explaining difficult concepts in math and simplifying them. I would highly recommend Scarlet as a tutor. The one comment I would make is MathPro's pricing is very steep. If Scarlet was not as amazing at tutoring as she is I would likely have found a cheaper option. read more

the course that my son is taking is Math 20-2. I like that the tutor keeps the student on track and makes sure that he understands the concepts well. The effectiveness of the staff is really good.
