Since we have started in January, Aviva went from 0 to slowly blending and reading as well as counting and recognizing numbers up to 50. Kumon has given our family the courage to continue with our homeschooling path when we've stuck and we're struggling. It takes only about 40 minutes a day and at this point Aviva is doing everything independently and we only help and supervise. For someone who just turned 5, the results are remarkable! We highly recommend Kumon and strongly believe it's irreplaceable system for all homeschoolers and students attending schools

Our 2nd tutor wouldn't even turn her camera on during the sessions and didn't really seem to care about offering decent service. The tutor then sent us an email at the end of February saying she was cancelling our future sessions. Then, we were billed $529 three days after the Tutor cancelled on us. We didn't even realize this was an auto charge/subscription. They were not up front with that information. Varisty was not willing to refund us so we disputed the charge. 30 days later and it is still not resolved. They won't even allow us to book future sessions that we paid for. They have taken our $529 and won't even schedule future sessions with us. We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

As much as the instructors and course might be great, ownership is absolutely disgusting. I signed up for the real estate course months ago, and because of unfortunate circumstances I was not able to complete it. I was charged for months with never accessing the site. I finally called after seeing the charge and the man was completely insensitive and unempathetic. I just requested for one months return, which so you all know was charged just two days prior to this phone call!! Meaning I would have a whole new month to use the service even though I was trying to cancel it! He said he would not make any exception. This is stealing! MORALLY! If you know your client isn't going to use the service for the whole month, you have all ready made money every month on the client, and the charge is most likely even still processing (on top of the client having gone through certain circumstances as well) and you say no to reversing the charge??!! Such horrible people.

Our child has been enrolled at Kumon for a little over two years now. After 3 months we saw…read moretremendous growth. This program isn't limited to kids thats are struggling in math and reading, in actuality this program fits the need for kids (and lets be honest parents) that don't want their kid to be limited to their grade level standards. That's right no ceilings your little one can advance as many grade levels in reading and math as their potential determines! Thus far we have been to two locations. One in Davie and the one here in downtown Orlando. Although both instructors had different method none fell short. Mrs. K runs off of a learning map with stickers to mark your success along the journey. A new map for every level they go. Mrs. K is extremely accommodating to parents with busy schedules with tons of time block availability for the in house instruction and even a time frame on Saturdays which was nonexistent in our last location. Mrs. K learns your goals and (I will never admit this to our child's teacher) her team consult in ways to improve and assist the child. As well as suggest excellent tools and opportunities that we can help along the way. Over all we are so thankful for Mrs. K and the Kumon crew!

Every now and then we need to stop feeding our stomachs and provide a little nourishment for our…read moreminds. That being said, Kumon is a wonderful surprise and gift for parents. First off, each Kumon is privately owned by people who actively run the center. We love local businesses and we especially love places that build up our children and community. Why this particular Kumon? Well, as I said earlier, each one is different. Although the method of teaching is the standardized Japanese Kumon Method, the personality and style is fully dependent upon the owners who run and manage each facility. We have found that this location has an instructor and staff who REALLY care about how each student is doing. The team is very nurturing and able to keep the children constantly engaged. The instructor is Mrs. Kalpana Malshe ("Mrs. K") who is both a mother and an educator. She has a Bachelor with honors in Chemistry and Education as well as a Masters in Applied Chemistry. Mrs. K was also nominated "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" from 2003-2006 and has published 3 papers. Of all the career paths, she chose to help educate young minds. To me, this says a lot about someone. This program is great if your child is learning the fundamentals and sharpening their skills. It helps to quickly build confidence and is individually tailored to your child's ability. We have found that our daughter is consistently at least 2 grade levels ahead and we have seen her confidence skyrocket in both math and reading. Kumon has brought at lot of peace and less stress to our household.
