At Mathnasium, our aim is to transform lives through math. We work with both advanced students seeking further enrichment and struggling students who need to fill gaps in their math foundation. After a detailed assessment, students are given a customized learning plan that targets math topics which need improvement. Membership includes 10 visits in a month, one hour per visit. Students sit across from a tutor who gives highly personalized instruction. Student-teacher ratios rarely exceed 3 to 1 and are often 1 to 1. We aim to develop number sense and mathematical thinking skills, fill in learning gaps, and help kids get ahead. Each student's needs are unique, so learning plans are tailor-made to suit the student. Our rates are reasonable, and our staff is committed to helping kids succeed!

Established in 2019.
Mathnasium has over 1,000 locations nationwide and hundreds internationally. The Morningside location launched in fall of 2019 in response to strong demand for the service among local residents. The location was launched by the owner of the Decatur and Dunwoody locations.
Meet the Business Owner: Sam Y.
Owner Sam Younis became a franchisee with Mathnasium in 2011. He launched Mathnasium of Hancock Park in Los Angeles in early 2012. Under Sam's tenure, the center's enrollment grew to over 100 students and became a renown community hub for families as well as a key resource for local schools. In 2014, Sam sold his Los Angeles location and moved to Decatur with his family to raise his kids there. Sam has served on the Mathnasium Franchisee Advisory Committee, which helps guide Mathnasium Headquarters as it makes key decisions about the direction of the company. His center in Decatur achieved an award for outstanding growth in its 2nd year of operation. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve families in Morningside by helping kids achieve their full potential in math!
