My children attend St. Rose and I am grateful everyday that I can send my most precious gifts to a…read moreplace where learning and safety are top priority. My children are still young but we have had so far five wonderful years. Being a former teacher, I do see areas in which I would like to see strengthen but I've never seen a perfect school either. I have faith in the Lord that my children are right where there are suppose to be. While I may compromise some things, I do not compromise their spiritual growth and values that St Rose continues to teach. My children have had some of best teachers anywhere. We have many wonderful teachers. Some of our teachers have children in the school because they appreciate the community and education at St. Rose. Other teachers have children who have graduated but they continue to teach because of their love and dedication. I just have to add that I have the privilege of knowing some of these young adults and I am always impressed by their academic achievements but even more by their moral character and personal achievements. (One of my favorite teachers has kids both of these categories) Our school is blessed in many ways. However, we are a community made of many people and families and I acknowledge there can be situations or attitudes that may not always be in line with what the school teaches. At those moments I try to remember that God loves us all and that we must pray for one another. As a member of this community, I apologize to anyone who have been dissatisfied with our school and/or church. I ask that you keep us in your prayers that we may continue to grow so that everyone feels God's presence when they come to St. Rose.

Allison Academy is a hidden gem. I knew she would do best in a small, nurturing setting - a place where teachers and administrators would know and understand each child as an individual. I searched and didn't have much hope in finding such a place in Miami. I looked online and found a school I had never heard of - Allison Academy. I called right away and made an appointment to meet Dr. Sarah Allison the very next day. The moment I met Dr. Allison, I knew I had found what I was looking for. Dr. Allison is warm, nurturing and experienced in educating children at the middle school and high school levels. After a tour of the charming school and the chance to sit in during some classes, we arranged for my daughter to visit. She was tentative about going back to school, but once she spent some time here and realized she would have all the support and guidance of wonderful teachers and Dr. Allison, she began again. Not only has my daughter gained a new confidence in herself and her view of school, but she has become a happier child, has made some new friends and regained her old spirit. I am so grateful for the teachers who have given her the desire to learn again.
