There is none of the clutter to lessen the shopping experience that you get in so many of the London vintage shops, giving the impression that each item has been hand picked for this store, rather than being a jumble sale that you have to wade through in hope of stumbling across a gem. I loved the women's bags and accessories, and happily left with some scarves for my collection. I expect that I will be back before my short stay in Lincoln is over. Definitely worth a visit!

I was drawn in by the accessories in the window. They had some cute stuff, nothing in my size and the accessories, while lovely, were not necessities on this particular trip. The clothing selection is a bit limited because there is no clutter and the racks aren't overflowing with clothing, but that's kind of what I like about it.

When someone finally figured out I wanted knitting wool (even though I crochet, not knit... important difference), this was the place that was recommended to me. It is a cute little shop, but it is small, a little difficult to maneuver if there are lots of people and/or you have lots of bags from shopping. They do have some items for those of us that crochet (hooks and such), but again it seems as though it is more focused on the knitters. In fact, the ladies in the shop seem to look at me strange when I mention crochet, it could very well be my American accent, but since I have been in a number of times, I think it is the crochet bit that trips them up. They have a nice selection of yarns, although, it seems to be the same stuff all the time. It would be nice to see some featured yarns. One of the ladies has mentioned to me that if they are out of something that I need, i.e. more of a yarn to finish something, they can order it, if it is still available. So that is always helpful. They also have some fabric and ribbons, which is nice. It is a bit pricey, compared to the lady who used to come to market on Saturday with lots of selection for fairly cheap. The ladies are usually very helpful and at least one of them is very friendly and quick to suggest an item.

The staff are usually very friendly... in fact there is one pharmacist that is really lovely and is always very helpful. I did take a star off because there is one pharmacist, I have personal experience and witnessed this with another customer, who does not make proper use of the consultation rooms that are provided when privacy should be considered. Other than that, the store is always clean and free of clutter in the aisles and I can usually get assistance fairly quickly.

Generally Boots is a chain with a great reputation and experience that you can trust…read more Unfortunately the Grantham branch does not seem to employ too many trained people on its pharmaceutical counter (I'm not talking about the bit manned by actual pharmacists where people get their prescriptions but the section next to it where you can buy over-the-counter medicines). Therefore any questions you ask about medications eg cold and flu tablets are met with a blank stare and a shrug. The level of expertise at the pharmaceutical counter in this store is not to the level I have come to expect of Boots in general. This shop would benefit from giving its frontline staff on this particular counter better training as many people using this service have genuine concerns and require proper advice.
