We tried the black milk tea with boba and the kumquat green tea, both less sweet. The owner was very welcoming and allowed us to try little samples to see if the sweetness was right for us. As a serious boba connoisseur, I have to admit this place is not a favorite. Tried it for the first time and only tried 1 drink, so I am by no means an expert on this place specifically. The shop itself is in a cool area, right next to an Asian market. There's also a lot of other shops in the center, including a giant vintage shop as well. First thing I noticed is they must not have a back room, because they have a bunch of boxes and supplies in the corner, visible when you walk in. The woman who rang me up said 0 words to me. There was no greeting of any kind. She saw me looking at the menu and just stood there ready for me to order. As someone who works in customer service I feel like this is very important. She did come out from the back room as I waited for a friend and asked if I needed anything. But, I'll admit that after that I felt kind of awkward to continue waiting. I think she was probably just approaching the end of her shift. I got a black tea with passion fruit and boba and it had an odd taste. I probably could have used more sweetener. Also, I've never experienced this issue, but the boba seemed a little too big for the straw and kept getting stuck. As a boba tea lover- I appreciated the strong tea flavor but I didn't like the boba tapioca pearls and the flavors. My friends and I ordered the Master Tea milk tea, mango green tea and peach green tea (there is only one size). Both the mango and peach drinks didn't have much mango or peach flavor besides the tea. The pearls were also hard. The Master Tea drink tasted like most standard milk teas which was delicious. Seems like the milk teas are better than the non dairy green teas. I just bought 3 of tea to go from Master Tea today . I love to get it after finish shopping at Pacific Ocean . Due to we had Covid-19 situation. I found that they put a hand sanitizer at front for client to use and had a plastic guard at check out to separate between cashier and client which is great. All staffs has mask on but the problem is one guy who work at station to put cup in and seal, he put the mask drop to his chin so it was not cover nose and mouth and he keep talking with another woman who is a cashier and she also put the mask drop down under her nose . I don't know did they know that how much droplet can drop to drink while their breath and speaking without mask cover . And covid-19 can be in water for 4 days . Every one have to take it serious. I hope management read my message and make sure they have a good protocol for safety to every one . My mom want to throw away . But I want to keep it . So end up . Master Tea was the first boba tea I ever tried and I have been in love with it ever since. They have a fantastic selection of quality teas and other drinks. I have never had a Master Tea drink I didn't like and I have tried most of their menu! Their tea is very high quality--Master Tea's Thai milk tea is the only Thai tea I will have around here. Since we looked around at the supermarket next door and ordered some food at Golden Bowl, we decided to order some boba here since we are always on the hunt for good boba. We ordered 3 drinks. I got an oolong wintermelon boba no ice. Thats my sugnsture boba which I test all tea stores against. Tea itself was good. Strong and perfectly sweet. But boba pearls were no bueno. Not made well and they gave very little. We've had good boba before soaked in honey or warm or chewy and perfect not hard like this. For the price I would like better boba. The master milk tea reminds me of fish oil. Lovers of oolong tea are probably used to that flavor, but it was something new for me and not something I would get again. I'd probably stick with the black tea if I want something not so sweet, or the Thai milk tea if I'm looking for something sweeter. The iced coffee was good and something we would come back for. Was craving boba and decided to stop in finally, since I've always pass it whenever I go shopping at POM. I never thought much of the place. The place is very simple and clean. Their drink menus was not too overwhelming. I ordered and tried their taro milk boba drink. I was impressed and really enjoyed it. I opt to have the LARGE Mango Milk Tea ($3.75) with Strawberry Popping Boba ($0.40) and Original Boba ($0.40).. Those Original boba, is cooked just right and soft.. Flavors for the Drink is refreshing and makes my Dessert craving worthwhile the drive... Too bad, they put the Drinks in Disposable Cups that is NOT transparent. If ONLY I can see what I ordered, drink and those Boba look in the Cup. Thank GOD for Master Tea after my disappointing Lunch across the street. I highly recommend Master Tea if you're looking for a deep tea flavor for your drinks! It has been my go to place for years now and I continually enjoy their product. It's conveniently located next to Pacific Ocean Market Place so you can do your grocery shopping at the same time! Staff has always been nice and consistent so that has been a plus. Master Tea is also nice and spacious so large parties are well accommodated here and has a section of board games and books if you're interested. Alternatively, it's also a nice spot to be by yourself if you're looking for a place to study, read, or do other stuff! I hate leaving these kinds of reviews but it needs to be said. Customer Service: Terrible customer service. They made an employees drink (who was off duty) before serving two other customers waiting for their orders to be taken. They are rude to you when you order and are very unprofessional. Drinks: Drinks taste good 3/4 times. However, the lids are NEVER on all the way and I end up spilling all over my shirt. If they kept the sealed lids, this wouldn't be a problem. Thats it. Needing an afternoon pick-me-up in the form of a caffeinated, sugary drink on our way to the Botanic Gardens down in Denver, we decided to stop by Master Tea to get our fix. This is probably an average place in terms of the quality of the boba tea compared to the various boba places I've been in my life. There's a good selection of teas/flavors/chewy additions, which leads to many different permutations. Deciding to play it safe, I ordered the Thai iced tea with boba and... There wasn't anything after the "and." The guy working the cash register quickly announced the amount to be paid for my half-ordered drink before I could get the whole order out. My husband and I looked at each other in confusion and decided it wasn't worth it to finish ordering my drink and placing a separate order for his drink as well, so we just accepted the order as is. The customer service experience was confusing. It wasn't as if we were holding up a line; there was only one other customer who had to order, and he let us go ahead because he was still deciding what he wanted. It was as if the cashier was like, "Nope, you're taking too long so I'm just cutting you off." Best boba place I've been to in the surrounding area, hands down. Master Tea originated from Taiwan, keeping a ton of their Asian roots and traditions in flavors. The signature item here is clearly the "Master Tea," which from my experience with teas, seems to be a darker Taiwanese oolong that when mixed with milk, almost tastes like coffee due to the tea's unique roast process. The first time I've had it, I was actually a bit caught off guard by how dark the tea was (definitely doesn't taste like a typical oolong you'd expect from China), but I quickly fell in love with the flavor and kept coming back for more. They're also very friendly and works well with requests. I always ask for light ice simply because I'm not a fan of super cold drinks. Additionally I found out they can do low sugar as well so you can cut back on sugar intake (better tasting tea that way too). Since it's right next to POM, it's super convenient to just grab a boba and start shopping, or reward yourself on the way out. All in all, great place all around. Wish they expand their menu a bit more to include even more hand crafted items such as the master tea, but it itself is worth the trouble of checking the place out! read more

I ordered coffee, wintermelon milk tea, and mango iced tea with less sugar. The coffee and mango tea were good. However, the wintermelon was super sweet for my taste. As you can see in the pic, she puts too much milk in it (middle drink). I couldnt taste the jasmine tea, but sugary milk with a hint of wintermelon syrup. Also, the boba was soggy as in overcooked, where they were not chewy. Update 9/11 I haven't been back since my last review and decided to go and get a wintermelon tea while Im in the area. This was my second cup in 4 days, and both times were very good (I made a note of 1/2 less sugar) They never give you enough boba. He claims his boba business as being "so authentic, we don't offer blended drinks" yet has more fruit flavors than any authentic traditional milk tea flavors I've had at other better boba shops. I've tried this place a few times whenever I'm in the area, and I've been very underwhelmed each time. The boba is always hit or miss, and the teas are meh. They are either really bitter or really sweet, even with adjustment of the sweetness level. Master Tea has all of the right equipment in their shop, looking like it's straight out of Taiwan (with Taiwanese news playing on the TV too)! I was looking for a good milk tea place in Broomfield for so long and today is the day. The host is very kind too, I will definitely bring my friends there, especially it's right next to Pacific Ocean and Pho. Hope he could get some help from new hires as it gets busy. Walked in to the place and there was a young guy behind the counter with his back towards me (no one was in line or waiting for an order). He was one the phone. He turned around and walked towards me without saying a word (still on the phone). I noticed he was wearing flip flops (health violation when your serving food). He puts the phone down and doesn't say a word to me so I initiate the conversation and I ask him about the boba drinks. He says they only have one kind of boba drink and I'm thinking maybe he did not hear me and what I was asking for so I repeat the question and he gives me the same answer and as soon as he gives me the answer he picks up the phone and continues his conversation and walks away. Disclaimer: at no point did I raise my voice or complain about him being on the phone, there was no confrontation just casual interaction from beginning to end. Whoever owns this place better take a serious look at getting rid of this kid and if his parents/family own this shop they better put some serious basic training on customer service. I've had a lot of boba milk tea in my life, having grown up in Orange County, where there are more boba shops than Starbucks and McD's combined. I've been to Asia and had boba from the source as well. Master Tea ranks up there as certainly one of the best for a simple reason: the tea. I must first give them props for not being sugary milk swill like at most boba shops. Here, they brew tea every day (and multiple times a day, at that), so you can taste it in every sip. The flavor options reflect the traditional approach to boba (as traditional as a three decade old drink can be, anyway). This versus a chain where they all source from the same suppliers and the drinks end up tasting generic. To really taste the tea, I recommend asking for 50%-75% sugar instead of the default 100% sugar. The owner, David, received his tea master certification training in Taiwan and has 11 years of experience in tea making. He obviously understands tea chemistry and its brewing process, and goes so far as to import Taiwanese leaves for the drinks. David loves tea so much, he told me he even drinks it before going to bed every night! So he opened up this place to share his passion and expertise, and so 50%-75% sugar is the best way to reap the fruits of his labor. His tea is awesomely fragrant and leafy-tasting. And I say leafy in a good way, just like how good candy tastes fruity, real tea should taste of the plants it's made from. For those complaining about the texture of the boba, if you have ever had boba in Asia, you'd know that the more authentic and preferred texture is softer than a typical boba place in the states. But it by no means burnt. All in all, Master Tea does not try to overwhelm you with a large menu that all ends up tasting like sweet flavored milk, it zones in on a few options to ensure quality. The prices aren't bad ($3.5 for a small and $3.90 for a large), plus you're supporting a small business instead of a big corporation. Hard to go wrong here when you have a combination of expertise, passion, and great ingredients. For those reasons, Master Tea is the best dedicated-boba teahouse in the state. Master Tea had my honest comment removed and then proceeded to accuse me to be working for Kung Fu Tea. I would like to reshare my experience at Master Tea: My tea tasted awful. The Boba was hard and the tea was more like water with very little bitter flavor. I have been looking for tea as good as where I moved because I am new to the area. This tea is disgusting, don't try it. By the way, management should know that I am thankful they referred me to Kung Fu Tea. It's very good. I would refer everyone in the area there!
