There is a water machine, you can help yourself to water. The waiting area is not overly large so I am sure she is careful not to overbook. She was able to squeeze me in on short notice which I appreciated. She did a wonderful job on my up-do... it wasn't really an up-do as it was more of a style. She curled it (I'll ask my mom to send me a pic she took and I'll upload it ASAP). It was two different sizes of curls and I had a side bang going, it was cute. The hair cut with a shampoo + the up-do cost me $45.00. Can't wait to get that picture up!

After having my major change screwed up at another salon a month ago (think mid-back length super thick straight hair to an awful asymmetrical pixie that couldn't be saved) I was forced to buzz my head but it was still fairly uneven. Guillaume made it perfect again with an amazing skin fade, and even dealt with my baby bang hairs that never sit right. Will be back in a week with my daughter and husband for their cuts and this is definitely now my only go to salon!

I am very particular so I went through a lot of places and their reviews before deciding on Helmet Salon for a hair cut and a completely new look after having super long hair for months!! Booking an appointment was easy and a smooth process. They booked me in for the time slot I was free and told me I would get Sacha. Got there for my haircut and met Sacha. We discussed the photos I had saved and the look I was going for at length and he was very patient and responsive! We agreed on a style and he gave me exactly the same look I was going for!!! I was very nervous, as my hair is complicated to cut. I have always had very thick, curly and long hair and was worried going in, but he promised that was his favourite type to cut. Clearly that's true because he did a great job!! Took his time with the cut, gave me a great blow dry and then straightened my hair!! Will definitely be coming by for a trim soon and would highly recommend this place and Sacha to others as well.

As far as I can tell it's only staffed by two male Italian barbers and a woman hairdresser, they take appointments and walk-ins. I got my hair cut by Giovanni, who spoke English and told me that he's been cutting hair there for 33 years. He was fast, very skilled, and did a great job on my haircut. One of the things that I loved the most came at the end, when he outlined my haircut with a disposable razor and warm shaving cream, you don't get this in hair salons! They also offer to wash your hair after the haircut so you can leave completely clean. At $18 plus tip for the men's haircut, I consider it a good price for a great service.
