I have been coming to this city for over ten years, and today was the very first time when I had…read morethe opportunity to come and check this place out. This crafts market is located in the central part of the city, and it's near a court of other food markets. The market itself has well over 100 individual stores, and each store has some different to offer. I came in at around noon, and many of the shops that I walked passed, encouraged me to come and see what they have. There are so many near things to choose from that I decided to return this weekend when I have some money in my pocket. I saw some really cool authentic hand made plates that my wife would love. The prices here are also fair, especially considering the time it takes to make some of these pieces. Apart from the awesome crafts, I think that this would be a great way to support the community here.

If you don't speak Spanish and don't want to haggle, look for the stores with posted prices- there are plenty. Culturally, this is not a market where you haggle/try to cut the prices much- so don't go in thinking an item listed at 500 pesos can be bought for 100. Be respectful, much of this is made by the sellers, some working right onsite. Loads of beautiful stuff, from jewelry to tiled mirrors (mine made it home safely!) and alebrijes. Many things you won't find at the airport stores (though it has some decent items), so this market is worth the trip. I brought cash but many stores/booths accept cards here.

We wandered in because I wanted to try an afternoon mezcal cocktail from Mundana after exploring the area for a day, and it was great. We had our cocktails and then wandered into a few stores - lots of cool places to check out. The building was beautifully restored - definitely a cool sight. And there are bathrooms - you just need the code from someone at one of the shops, restaurants, or bars! Definitely a cool place to spend some time if you're in the area! Kind of a quiet, cool (a little bit hidden) oasis just off the very busy Alameda Central!

If you're a tourist, I'd say that this is not really worth the stop. I'm from the US, so most of…read morethe brands here are from there. Because of tariffs, prices are at least 40% higher here. Most of the shops were small with limited selections and sizing. Had more options in other malls. Only a few local brands here and this part of Polanco has traffic as bad as it gets. The mall is also open air, so, while it's pretty, it can be quite hot to walk around.

The mall has three stories, with the eateries sitting on the top floor. All other floors have a great selection of clothing stores, shoe stores, accessories, beauty products, etc. My girlfriend and I have personally frequented Zara, Bershka, Pull & Bear, American Eagle, Dyson, Bath & Body Works, Sephora, and, of course, Starbucks. I find that the customer service and selection here is better than most malls back home. FYI, if you're travelling on a budget, this might not be the place for you, as you will find that the prices are higher here for some items than if you bought them in the US. It's interesting to note that mall culture in Latin America is alive and well, while most malls back home are hanging by a thread. But I digress. This mall provides a great shopping experience. The place is clean and safe, the other patrons are decent locals, and they have had just about anything that I needed every time I've come here.
