Did a yoga retreat here. There were 10 of us. Place has many groups and families.
Pros
- [ ] 150 acres of quietness
- [ ] Nice pool. How relaxing depends on other guests using it.
- [ ] Breakfast awesome!! Fresh eggs, all kinds of fresh baked goods, the sweetest cherry tomatoes, several kinds of cheeses, multiple fruits, porridge one day, 2 kinds of yogurt, granola, juice
- [ ] Tea kettle and tea bags in the room
- [ ] They grow their own grapes. Wine tasting was very informative and fun
- [ ] Easy to go for a long walk on the property
- [ ] Felt safe
- [ ] I liked the packed lunches.
- [ ] beautiful flowers all over
Cons
- [ ] Room not set up for two single women- set up for a romantic couple. Friend slept in big bed in a sunken bedroom and I slept in a small twin in the "dining room"
- [ ] No shower curtain. Bathroom gets wet during shower
- [ ] Took two days to get more hangers; our room had 4 in one closet. Ther was another closet with two more hangers but we didn't realize it.
- [ ] The concept of "more towels please" somehow never came to fruition
- [] Not organized for off site excursions- nothing printed out to what would be normal questions to any hotel front desk person.
- [ ] No full length to mirror. Only 2 mirrors in the bathroom.
- [ ] Tye quality of dinner Service is dependent on whether there is another event.
- [ ] WiFi spotty
- [ ] We couldn't get a second key
- [ ] No lotion in the room
- [ ] Couldn't check out in the morning despite an arranged time set in advance. Front desk opens at 9am. Tried to get bill the night before but it wasn't ready. read more
