After my massage, when I was paying my bill, I asked if there was a survey, or a place I could give some written feedback later. (I explained that I did not would to ruin my relaxed vibe by discussing any of it right then.)
Hayden, who claimed he was some sort of supervisor, demanded I discuss the matter right then. I said it was no big deal, and again declined to speak of it right at that moment. I asked, again, if there was a way I could privately share info with them later, "without having to write a review."
Hayden again tried to force me to give the info right then. For the third time, I declined to discuss it right then, as I had just come out of a nice massage, and did not want to deal with his rude behavior.
He turned and walked away, shaking his head and saying, "Good talk, lady...good talk." I was so surprised by his aggressive demands; there seemed to be a complete lack of awareness of the one product they were supposedly selling, a relaxing and calming experience to benefit the customer's health and wellness.
I had explained several times that I did not want to discuss it right then, and again asked the cashier if there was someone with whom I could speak about the matters "at a later time," but got no response, as Hayden was now back in front of me, talking over her, and yet still not acknowledging my simple request.
So, here's the info I had wanted to share privately (just not right at that moment):
1.) There was no changing room, locker, or other area for personal space. I felt rushed afterwards, changing in the room, and did not like having to leave my purse, earrings, glasses, phone, keys, etc. out on a folding chair in the corner.
2.) The lotion was cold. It brought a new cold "shock" every single time the massage therapist got more lotion. The warmth was provided during those times she did not use enough lotion, though, as the friction caused uncomfortable heat. The cold lotion was *not* the therapist's fault. The facility apparently did not provide warmers.
3.) The bottle of lotion, and other items for use during my time there, were sitting on the floor within her reach, both at the head and at the foot of the bed. Is there a health department policy about such things? (I did not know this until after the massage, or else I would have said something. I would not have wanted her hands touching me after picking up containers that were on the floor.)
4.) The massage therapist was really good. Go see Elyssa if you want a solid massage. She was highly skilled, but she would do much better in an higher end facility...a place that did not undo her talent with an unclean environment and rude staff at the end of the session. read more
