On 2/28/18 Maghrib prayer time is stated 18:15: I arrived at 18:09. All three parking lots had the gates closed. Since management is strict on parking I could not park outside. I texted and found out i could open the gate myself. The mini entrance next to the main entrance to the parking lot gate i was able to open. However, the main entrance to the parking lot fence gate I did not know where to open from since i had never opened it. Thank goodness an acorn chair lift company employee and a person behind me was able to help me open it. upon entering through the the gate I found all entrances to the mosque locked. Both men's and women's entrance in to the mosque were locked. So I walked to the front of the building to check the main entrance to the mosque. That too was locked. There was a sign in front of it stating to use the back entrance. I waited until 18:22. The gentlemen that was behind me and the acorn chair lift employee all waited until the same time. I texted the group that its president has set up to get access to the mosque but no one came nor provided any access. The gentlemen behind me called someone but they did not pickup their phone call. So obviously the maghrib namaz never happened nor did the maghrib azhan. Thank goodness i did not have a guest with me or else it would have been a public embarrassment. The missionary stated he was going to have a Quran translation program at 18:45 that day. I am not so sure if that happened or not. Isha prayer is posted as 19:30 but not so sure if that happened either. I was not going to take my chance and go back their. It is their Hadith, that a pious person does not make the same mistake twice. I don't see the point of having a mosque if it is not going to have prayer service. What a way to end the month. On the side note I can't understand why people have to use the back entrance to the mosque. Most places use the back entrance for deliveries. It is not like it we are delivery people doing deliveries. Why even have a main entrance if one is not going to use it. What a mosque. it is said that a chair lift has been installed in the main entrance. However the main entrance says to use the back entrance. I don't find that any beneficial. If the back entrance is going to be the main entrance then the chair lift should have been installed there. read more

This mosque is the new home of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Baltimore. In my opinion, their greatest strength is the diversity in the congregation, bringing people together from all walks of life. The people of this mosque truly embody the slogan 'love for all, hatred for none' as they have participated in campaigns such as Muslims for Loyalty and Muslims for Peace. From outside, building of Masjid Bait Us Samad does not look like a mosque as it does not have traditional minarets and dome, but a large sign board attracts your attention. Inside, however, it has separate prayer areas designated to men and women and has all other essentials of a mosque. Community is diverse in itself and welcomes all Muslim sects.Their slogan 'Love for all" manifest as the regular members of the mosque welcome new members with warmth and affection. After Friday Service ( 1:30- 2PM), members of all faiths or No faith are welcome to come and interact with Muslims, have exchange of views and learn about real Islamic teachings. read more

I came to Masjid Bait us Samad after seeing the big sign on route 40. I was pleasantly surprised to see the diversity. Though most of the people were of Southeast Asian background, there were many Americans and Africans. The place is clean and spacious. Sermon was inspiring and punctuality was excellent. Separate area for ladies which I hear is just as big. The mosque does not really look like a mosque from the outside. So pay attention when you are planning to come here. Diverse and welcoming congregation that genuinely tries to walk the talk. I've been to a number of mosques in the Baltimore-D.C. area; Bait-us-Samad is new, but is already one of the best, imho. Intimate without being cliqueish, and provides great facilities for women upstairs. If you're in the area, drop by Friday prayer services at 1:30 p.m for a rejuvenating sermon on Muslim American issues from the true spirit of jihad to the importance of patriotism. Beautiful building. When you drive by route 40, there is no way you can miss this architectural icon. The Imam is African American and very kind. The congregation is diverse and the brotherhood/sisterhood just so palpable. The mosque has equal areas for men and ladies. read more

Best mosque in Baltimore, everyone is nice. On the ladies side one can hear and see khutba and can see the dice on men's side. Everyone is given refreshments on Fridays after jumma and kids play at the play ground often. read more
