Very average fajitas, bland with little flavor, same for refried beans. Tortillas stale and crunchy at the edges, not light and fluffy. Best thing were the tortilla chips, thin, light and crispy. Salsa ok. Young female server was nice but inattentive. Never asked if we wanted more chips, and waited until the meal was over to refill my water glass. I dont know who was cooking that day but those were possibly the best tasting, melt in ur mouth beef fajitas I've ever had. Better than Lupe's. Better than Dos Salsas. Better than Casa Garcias. Would give this place negative -5 if possible. Waited 15 minutes to get drinks in a dead restaurant. Waitress let us know she was sorry she forgot us at least ‍. A/C was out and had swamp coolers keeping the place cool. The cherry on top was store bought Mission tortillas when there is a neon sign boasting tortilleria and a tortilla machine sitting under it collecting dust. If we're going to eat in the same conditions as South American sweat shops, we should at least have some authenticity in the tortillas. Can grab a gas station burrito for the same quality and save some money. Want real Mexican food go down to Tortilleria Mi Tierra. Better yet hope the management sees this and starts getting the tortillas from there instead of Brookshire Brothers. Do better read more

Was working in Caldwell TX on Monday December 9, 2024, and decided to eat lunch at MasFajitas. I went in and noticed a sign that said Please wait to be seated, so I stood there and waited...and waited...No one ever approached me, or came close enough that I could even ask to be seated. Oddly enough, I had this same experience at this same restaurant a couple of years ago, and this was the first time to try and eat there again. I ended up eating at Four Tines at The Surrey Inn and it was really good! Will definitely have lunch there again. read more

I sat at the bar to watch sports. I was only one at bar and bartender moved my location 2 seats over when. went to wash my hands...apparently she didn't agree with my choice. Food was good and drinks were reasonable. Parking situation is a hot mess. Would no5 be my first choice but it was ok for place stop by on way to Aggieland. Jen is by far the best bartender ever! We have been going here for 7 months and always delightful to see her, it doesn't matter if she swamped she completely attended. I have also had pretty amazing servers there as well, all younger. But the one thing I could say negative about this place is poor Jen is always with a slow bartender, the bartender she had tonight 10/25 was full attitude and only slowed her down on a busy Friday night. She treated servers terrible full of sassy when she couldn't make what they ordered, or just in general. Even in her "slow time" she didn't check on guest when Jen was grabbing food from the back and checking on her bar tables. She was extremely slow. Shame on the restaurant for not giving the bartender an experience bartender on a busy Friday night. I do love the food overall though, definitely worth a stop. read more

Stopped in on whim. The service was great, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean, and the food was delicious. That said, to the group of women who thought it was ok to let your child squeal at an incredibly high pitched, extreme volume, shame on you. You have to have known this was unacceptable behavior in public. The manager did go to their table and I hope the conversation included keeping the toddler quieter as we were not the only table whipping our heads every time another squeal was let lose. It's ok to ask people to leave if they are disturbing other customers and yes it was disturbing. Ear piercing, headache inducing disturbing. We finished our meal and left without lingering which lost you sales since we probably would have stayed for another round of the spectacular house margaritas. It is worth a repeat visit. read more

Caldwell is culinary bad news. Even the McDonald's can be substandard - as I have found to my disappointment various times. If you are there between 11 and 2, the kolache shop on highway 21 does good sandwiches. Otherwise you may be in trouble. That said - the place that gets the vote of the locals is Masfajitas. At lunchtime, the place is MOBBED - and as a people watching place, the restaurant is just fantastic. How is the food? I have had some good meals there. But you do have to be cautious. This is a good cook - cheap raw materials place. Shrimp is frozen and usually acceptable. Beef is tolerable. AVOID THE CHICKEN AT ALL COSTS. The econo chicken that shows up in lower end Mexican restaurants and Chinese buffets is often old and questionable. It tastes okay on the plate - but as you walk out of the restaurant - you get an aftertaste that tells you you have just eaten old borderline chicken. This is never a happy moment - and I have had those moments at Masfajitas. Fortunately - they buy fresh fairly decent vegetables and these can be your salvation. Go vegetarian and you will probably be okay. So nachos, cheese enchiladas, and salads are all reasonable options. If the salads have meat on top ask for beef) On the plus side, oil workers and farmers drive in from out of town particularly to eat at Masfajitas. Locals fill every table. So Masfajitas is definitely doing something right. Choose carefully and you can get a good meal. read more
