Masala Mingle in Colorado is a great Indian spot. We stopped here for lunch on our way back to Denver and were very impressed. Everything--from the mango lassi to the lamb, bhindi masala, hot naans, and biryani--was excellent. The masala chai to finish was a perfect touch. Service was top-notch, and there's plenty of parking available.

3.5 - round up to 4. Buttered chicken, chicken tikka masala and paneer all medium heat. Heat was sub mild. Order hotter than you think.

Amazing food and, be warned, the "medium heat" choice is going to be way hot enough for most palates. If in doubt, ask for mild plus! The chef really cares about his customers experience and stops by to check that everyone is happy.

We've loved their other restaurants, King Indian and Curry Culture, so we were anxious to try this new venue! Masala Mingle is in a great location - on the west side of Nevada just north of Costilla (and White Pie). We can walk or ride from home! We were greeted at the door by one of the owners, Amar Singh Mand, who welcomed us as the first customers in the new restaurant! Although they were finishing some minor cosmetic deals, he assured us they were open and ready for business. The interior is simple but elegant, with gorgeous table tops and minimal decor (so far). The menu has all of the "typical" Indian fare, as well as some Northern Indian specialties like Dal Makhani. We started with samosas as a test to see how they compared to the samosas at King. They were lovely - a bit spicy, and nicely crunchy. We then ordered garlic naan, Paneer Tikka Masala, and Saag Paneer. The entrees arrived (see pictures) in serving bowls, with perfectly cooked rice. Everything smelled, looked, and tasted DELICIOUS! The servings were larger than you often see at "nice" Indian restaurants, and we barely finished all our food. We ordered "Medium" spice level which turned out to be a little less spicy than we prefer, so we'll ask for "hot" next time.

We ordered the Classic Mojito, Coconut Chicken Curry, and the Lamb Kashmiri. My husband works nearby and always raves about how amazing they are. Having their food fresh this time makes me forget about all the other Indian restaurants I've ever had in the past. None of their food tastes rushed at all and they are truly worth writing home about. Full of flavor and not overwhelming quick food flavor. The ambiance is amazing as well- marble tables and gold finishes. They even have a small bar top as well.

Absolutely scrumptious!!! Nav-Ratan-Korma and Indian Jaggery Tea. Will definitely be back to explore more delicacies.

Amazing food! Definitely one of the best Chicken Tikka Masala dishes I've ever had. Garlic naan was outstanding. Wife had Chicken Korma and was one of her top favorites. Ambiance was great, restaurant was very clean and inviting. Service was prompt and friendly. Can't wait to be back many times!

Coconut curry, chicken lemon rice, garlic cheese naan absolutely delicious!

The food was wonderful--try the Mango Lassi, and the malai kofta-- and the atmosphere was classy and quiet during the dinner rush time.

What an unexpected find in Colorado Springs!…read more We're visiting from California and originally stopped at another Indian restaurant that's well known for its buffet. After seeing the food, it just didn't look very appetizing to us, so we decided to try Urban Tandoor instead -- and we are SO glad we did. We grew up in Delhi, which is arguably the food capital of India, so when it comes to North Indian food, our taste buds can be a little demanding! From the moment we walked into Urban Tandoor, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful atmosphere and warm hospitality. Then we saw Rumali Roti on the menu -- something that is surprisingly difficult to find at Indian restaurants in the U.S. -- and immediately knew we had to try it. For dinner, we ordered the Seekh Kebab, Rumali Roti, and Dal Makhani, and everything was excellent. The flavors were authentic, well balanced, and genuinely reminded us of food back home in India. Our server, Aaryaa, was incredibly pleasant and made the entire experience even better. We enjoyed the food so much that we actually came back the very next day for lunch! This time we ordered the Tandoori Platter, another Seekh Kebab, and of course, more Rumali Roti. When you're visiting a city for only a short time and choose to eat at the same restaurant twice, that probably says everything! On our second visit, Dev took great care of us. He was welcoming, personable, and genuinely enjoyable to talk to. Thank you, Dev, for the wonderful hospitality. Urban Tandoor gave us something we weren't necessarily expecting to find while traveling through Colorado Springs: authentic Indian flavors that brought back memories of Delhi. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better hospitality. Absolutely worth the visit -- and clearly, for us, worth visiting twice!

She went and asked, returned and said yes however, they would need to charge me for two entrées, the salmon entrée, and the SAAG entrée. What sense does that make?. What Restaurant can't swap out a protein with another, gladly pay a few dollars extra but to pay $25 for each entrée? I ended up ordering the tandoori salmon which came barely warm, the masala sauce on the side and the rice were also barely warm. My companion said her meal was barely warm as well, butter chicken with rice. A waitress takes your order, and then a stupid robot carries it out for the server, Manager in tow, removes the plates from the robot and put it on your table. How long were our entrées sitting inside the robot which is not enclosed before it arrived at table? My friend suggested this place, I remember it being pricey three years ago when I visited last. My go to for Indian cuisine is Pakwan, Turmeric or Shri Ganesh. Next time!

We initially…read moreassumed they would offer Afghan and Indian fusion cuisine, but it appears that they offer dishes from both regions separately, giving guests the option to choose from either cuisine. The décor is predominantly Afghan-inspired, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The seating is spacious, comfortable, and clean, and we really enjoyed the open-kitchen concept. We ordered the spicy chicken kabobs, combination kabob platter (chicken and lamb), and lamb rogan josh with naan. The kabob platter came with basmati rice, red cabbage salad, and chickpea masala. Everything was freshly prepared, flavorful, and enjoyable. The host was very pleasant and welcoming, and they even offered us a complimentary dessert to celebrate our son's birthday, which was a thoughtful touch and made our visit extra special. One suggestion from our perspective: Afghan and Indian cuisines each have their own unique characteristics, while also sharing some similarities. It would be wonderful if the restaurant could highlight these similarities and differences and help introduce diners to aspects of both cuisines that they may not be familiar with. Perhaps consider offering an "India & Afghanistan" tasting platter featuring small portions from both cuisines. That way, guests could experience the flavors of both worlds in one meal! We will definitely be back the next time we're in the neighborhood.
