I love a well made, structured bag. A top handle satchel gets me all excited. Abitart is on a street with many bag shops, most of which are of questionable quality. Beautiful sweaters and jackets in textured fabrics, basics in cotton and cashmere that feel so soft against your skin, the racks were filled with many options in a variety of colors. Since I was here in October, lots of maroons, mustards, olive green and brown. The dresses have so much style to them! And the accessories - the shoes, boots and handbags - this is what really caught my attention. Typically if I see something unique that I love, I buy it. No hesitation. I'm all about quality over quantity. This is especially true when I'm traveling and I know that once I walk away, the opportunity is lost. For this reason when I saw the leather tote in a cappuccino color, I had to buy it even though I have many, many totes. Sure, I thought about leaving it behind, but it kept calling out to me. I even tried leaving the boutique thinking once I moved on to another boutique or pizzeria or cafe, I would forget about it. But somehow, just like the city of Rome, I had already fallen in love. Somehow I managed to find my way back to the boutique after wandering all the narrow cobblestone streets that look the same. After trying it on, walking around to feel it's weight on my shoulder, putting my items inside to see how much room it had - basically stalking it - I made the purchase! No regrets! Rome may have my heart, but I have a cappuccino tote to remind me of my day wandering this trendy area filled with boutiques, art galleries, jewelry shops and cafes peppered in amongst the ancient ruins.

I left that day because I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it yet and intended on coming back when someone friendlier was working. .... Well that was a mistake. Two days later I came back with the intention to buy this expensive coat and again had to deal with rude sales associates.
