Taqueria Las Amiguis - Ingrediencies for Last Birria Ramen I made.

One of my favorite Mexican dishes is Birria. Birria is traditionally cooked with goat or beef meat,…read moreseasoned with a blend of chilies, spices and herbs. It is slow-cooked until tender and served with a side of consome. Birria, in Spanish was originally meant as "Something of little value". The origin was probably developed because the original recipe was using tougher, less desirable cut of meat, like goat. I ordered a Marucha Birria Ramen from Taqueria Las Amiguis for lunch! It came with a bowl of Birria consome with ramen noodle. 3 Birria Tacos with cheese, cilantro, onions and lime with hot sauces. First, take a sip of Birria consome with Ramen as a savory prelude. Next take the Birria taco with cheese, dip the tortilla into the consome for extra flavor. They are topped with lime, cilantro and onions. Some time I paired with a cold beer or aqua fresca. For me, the combination of savory consome, tender meat, crispy tortillas, Ramen and vibrant toppings is also an experience I enjoyed! The Birria Ramen from Taqueria Las Amiguis is excellent and will order this again and again! By the way, I make quick Birria Ramen lunch with many variations at home. For the last Birria Ramen, I used a Trader Joe's Beef Birria, Ramen with lime, cilantro and onions. I simply slurp the noodles like nobody's watching. Dunk the tender birria into the consome. Repeat until the bowl is empty!

Came here for Cinco de Mayo and a little date night out with some friends…read more This isn't the first time I've been here, but everytime I come its always a great time. There was live music that night and they had everyone up dancing. The place has a bunch of food trucks around the perimeter of a courtyard style area. Nice big bar in the middle with quite a few VIP seating lounges available to rent (the pics show them with the big pink and blue couches) and a few areas with games to play like electric darts, bowling and other yard games like big Jenga, connect four, corn hole. Lots of outdoor seating, some with fire pits, and the place is kid friendly! It was great to see the littles out dancing too. We tried the lobster tacos from the lobster truck. They were great!! Stuffed with lobster. A few of the other food trucks included Greek food, pizza truck, sandwiches and a taco truck (my favorite was when they used to have a mac n chz truck there ) We tried a couple different cocktails from the bar and they were delish too. Our bartender was super sweet and had a great personality. The places hosts many events: from bike night to bingo to salsa dance lessons.. so there's no doubt we wont be back soon to enjoy the fun!

It was very handy and let you know when your meal was ready. Bar service works hard but can get clogged up during rush times. All in all great time and a fun atmosphere. One tip if you are coming to watch a show bring a chair and come early. Or park on that side and tailgate if crowded.

But these birria tacos are hands down the best tacos I've ever had. The flavor was so savory and rich. The quality of the meat was top notch. And the portion was excellent as well for the price. Service was good as well. There were a few tables where the truck wt the location of the day I was there, not sure if that is a normal thing or not. I understand why they sell out often because truly these are incredible. Don't miss this whenever they are in your area.

I really wanted to love Las Gorditas -- the food is great and I always try to support local food…read moretrucks. However, my recent experience left a lot to be desired. First, I have to say the customer service needs serious improvement. I called ahead to place an order, but instead of being properly assisted, I was left on the line while the staff continued to take other in-person orders. There was no courtesy hold or communication, which felt unprofessional and frustrating. In total we had to call MULTIPLE times and was on "hold" for more then 10 minutes. As someone who has worked in hospitality, I understand how busy things can get -- but basic customer service goes a long way in keeping guests satisfied. Secondly, the pricing is a bit extreme, especially when it comes to something as simple as the Hot Cheeto bag. You are paying $6 for a 1oz bag. You can get a whole party size bag of hot Cheetos for less. I get that food costs are rising, but for what you're getting, it feels overpriced. Also, to add that I have tried this food truck multiple times and this occurs every time. The food is wonderful but it is going to lose business if there is not a change. If you are going to offer a phone service then please have it functioning properly. Overall, there's potential here, but unless they improve how they treat their customers and take a second look at their pricing structure, it's hard to justify coming back or recommending the place to others. In today's competitive food scene, service and value are just as important as flavor.
