They planted a beautiful tiered garden of box hedge, azalea and more and added rock gardens around the established trees, creating depth and variety below the porch that coordinates well with the style and color of the house. They installed much-needed path lighting and added charming lighting in the trees with spot lighting from below--all on timers for maximum effect and convenience. They made some improvements to the back yard as well, creating a flagstone patio for our outdoor dining table, adding a flagstone path through our azalea/hydrangea garden for better access, and a flagstone pad--a nice level surface--at the water spigot. From planning to execution, working with Steve and his team was smooth and collaborative. They took what we had envisioned for the space and elevated it with their expert design. The finished product is fabulous. My front yard not only looks great--people stop and comment how lovely it is--it also has added to the property value and is worth the investment! The quality and expertise of Gardelle's work alone speaks for itself, but it doesn't stop there. We replanted both the front and backyard with drought tolerant plants and had drip irrigation installed in both areas. Steve's team, headed by Luis and Francisco, along with Jaime, Jose and Jesus, the mason, were amazing to work with! They arrived on time, worked throughout the day and cleaned up afterwards everyday! Iliana, Steve's office manager was also a joy to work with! We had QGL re-do our front yard. Everything was updated: old concrete driveway and abrasive patio…read morepavers were torn out and replace with new pavers (driveway and patio). The lawn, decorative plants, sprinklers, and drainage were all replaced. We are extremely happy with the outcome. The staff QGL sent was professional and communicative. Chris was our project manager and on site we mostly worked with Paco and a small crew of 2-3 people depending on the day. The project took about 7 weeks. We got 5 bids and Chris' team came in mid-range. At the time of collecting bids, it seemed a fair price for the work. Now that the project is done I'd say it was an excellent value and the best price for the quality of work we got. We especially appreciated Chris' input on the design and plant selection. We had a design from a landscaper, but made a few changes to the shape of the driveway, a small rock wall, and adding a tree. All of Chris' suggestions were fantastic- expanding the driveway line, using Napa basalt, and adding a Crepe Myrtle. Like any project there were a few hiccups,(change to paver pattern near edge, electrical line accidentally cut when tearing up old driveway) but everything was fixed quickly and professionally. The team also phased how the pavers were laid so that we always had a clear and paved walkway to either our door or garage. Tools were put away at the end of the workday and areas swept- this was especially helpful given that we have two young children. We've had at least 5 sets of neighbors tell us how great the front yard looks now. We've done a lot of major upgrades to our house in the 6 years we've lived here (new roof, exterior paint, pool resurfacing, solar install, interior flooring & paint), but this has definitely been the best overall experience and outcome. Ultimately, the reason I didn't sign a contract was because I found a competitor with a slightly lower cost. The difference might have been about 2-5%. I would highly recommend at the very least to meet with them if you have need for landscaping work.
