She was initially at Kumon south Lakewood but last September I decided to move her to Kumon Arvada for an easier commute The biggest mistake I've done do not believe Kiko Steinbarth should be in the business of educating children. Her behavior toward students is unacceptable and lacks basic respect. At first, I dismissed my daughter's complaints and encouraged her to continue attending for six months, hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, they did not. On April 1, 2026 (and no, this is not an April Fool's review), my daughter's father took her to a session and waited in the lobby. Before my daughter even had a chance to sit down, Kiko began yelling at her--accusing her of completing work with parental help--and threw papers around, telling her everything she had done was wrong. Hearing the situation escalate, her father stepped in, opened the door, and removed our daughter, who was visibly distressed and crying. When asked to come out and discuss the situation, Kiko was still visibly agitated. She later acknowledged that she had raised her voice. Earlier that same morning, her father had emailed Kiko expressing concern about the excessive amount of work assigned over spring break. Kiko responded, and we believed the issue had been addressed. However, it became clear during the session that she was still upset, and instead of handling it professionally, she directed her frustration at our child. This experience was deeply upsetting. No child should be subjected to this kind of treatment in a learning environment. She makes it impossible to communicate by creating a ton of forms and rules that working parents simply don't have time to keep track of. Do not enroll your kids in this location. They are going to be mistreated by Kiko.

First! We've really liked Kumon. Ever since starting here our child's math has really really…read moreimproved. And his responsibility and accountability has improved. It's really made him a better person overall. We do the math program which is about an hour on Monday and Wednesday's and a quick 15 minute exercises. He doesn't mind. His math scores at school have improved.
