Great stadium, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, fast concessions, what more could you want from a college-football stadium? You could early see the game and hear over the loudspeaker and referees, there was giveaways at the door, fast check through at the gate. Friendly feel from the crowds. Big tip: they only allow clear bags inside. (The freebie giveaway at opening game of the season was clear backpack-style bags). The closer you are to student section the livelier the crowd! Martin Stadium, nestled in the beautiful Palouse Hills of Pullman and Eastern Washington. During home football weekends, many Cougs (who are salt of the earth, good people) gather around into Martin Stadium and watch their exciting squad, led by Mike Leach, march up and down the field in glorious fashion. I love watching games in Martin Stadium. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Want to go to the bathroom or get something to eat? No worries, it takes no time to get out to the concourse. If I had one complaint, it would be trying to get a beer at Cougville at half time. But, that's not Martin Stadium's fault. That's Gameday staff's fault. So Gameday and Cougville staff, if you read reviews online, please get your ish together. It's already challenging to get to Pullman for most people. It is wonderful to see what has been done with this beautiful stadium. I remember growing up in Pullman that it was a highlight of my day to walk up to campus and run the stairs. The stadium wasn't so glitzy then. No private booths a lot less seating and no national televised coverage. Just a simple structure for the college and high school games. We also didn't have a gorgeous bronze cougar at the entrance. We had a cougar in a cage that they brought out during the football games. I like the fact that they don't do that anymore. Everything changes and it's nice to see these changes for the better for everyone to enjoy! read more

BEST STADIUM and Tailgate in America. Where else do you get to tailgate in the middle of campus with the likes of "Fireball Joe". While it is a small stadium, the seats are right on top of the action and the facilities are really nicely done. read more

This review is less about the stadium though the abundant concession stands and bathrooms by the visitors' section is a big bonus. The cheap prices on food and drinks (by sporting event standards) is fine by me too. Oh, and there's free parking at the lot next to the Alumni Centre if you arrive early enough. But like I said, this review is less about the stadium and more about the fans. Dude and I have traveled to more than a handful of football, basketball, and baseball games, and though in "enemy territory" we've come across more friendly fans than not. However, no where else have people been as genuine and hospitable as they were in Pullman. Before the game, we were offered food, drinks, and playful ribbings. During the game their fans showered with fascinating tidbits about the city, the school, and their football team. Afterwards we were given more food, beverages, and traffic advice. And this all was after a thorough pouncing of their beloved Cougs. People and places like this are precisely why I love traveling. Minus 1 star because Pullman is far. Hella, hella far. read more

Let's be honest here; if someone's reviewing the actual facility, and not the amazing feeling you get being in the stadium, they clearly aren't a Coug, or at least a fan. Something awesome happens inside this stadium when you're cheering for the home team. It's not on the scale of some of the Big 10 schools (some of those schools are insaaaneee about their football!), but as far as the Pac 10 goes, the Wazzu Pride is unbeatable, and that's pretty dang clear when you're sitting here on a cold October Saturday cheering your little heart out for a team that, let's face it, might be losing, but do you really care? No! I've sat in every section, in every kind of weather (including a very cold (15*) very snowy game about 17 years ago; my first!), at every level of sobriety, and always, ALWAYS have a great time, and leave feeling great. Cougar Football Saturday is a day that can't be beat. read more

The location of this stadium is great. There's something pretty awesome about having the stadium in the middle of campus as opposed to the outside. However other than that the stadium is just small and boring. It doesn't have the views and size of Husky Stadium, nor does it have the intimate feel of Autzen, and the endless metal bleachers kind of ruins any traditional feel of other small stadiums like Reser. I've also been on the field and the turf is well below par. read more

After the recent remodel, the stadium became amazing. It just looks and feels great!

Such a great place to watch a ball game!! Martin Stadium is right in the heart of Washington State's campus so you really get the college experience. The stadium is not huge (35K) but it gets really loud with all the seating so close to field level. Great local/campus bars are nearby, a big RV lot for the die hard tailgater, and the field house is a fun place to grab a pre game bite to eat and some beers with alumni. read more

There is something about a small college stadium that is magical. I love Martin Stadium, it's the place where Pete Carroll complained that the WSU fans were too loud, and the place where I've been drunk more times than I can count. This is a great place to watch football, especially since it's been remodeled. You now can pee without your feet being in a puddle of water (*hoping it was water*), and not have to stand in line for an eternity just to get a hot chocolate. Plus the tickets are down right cheap. Great stadium, winds can make it VERY cold, the concession lines are short and the offerings are solid. The restrooms are big and lines are short as well. Doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house and....my favorite part? There are no nets behind the goal posts!! You can get yourself a game ball if you are lucky! I actually had the privilege of watching the Apple Cup from a suite, they are laid out nicely and have a great view as well. read more

It's a tiny stadium by FBS standards, seating just under 33,000. Because of that parking isn't the hassle it is at, say, Husky Stadium, and there are no bad seats. You're very close to the game wherever you sit. And, I don't know how they do it, but the place is immaculate: walkways, bathrooms, the whole venue. read more

Great place, small town atmosphere, with a loud group. Expect some ribbing than to be given a beer or shot, cause hey your in Pullman. New video screen has some bugs still to be worked, but not as many as the team on the field. THe renovations have worked out well and the new cougar statue outside is pretty sweet. Fans are loud and proud. Out of the stadiums i've been to this is one of the best. I'd rather go to a smaller stadium that is packed than a large one that is only half filled. read more
