Recently visited this office. Greeted promptly and courteously. Office staff friendly and knowledgeable. Doctor was great. The nurse reviewing information before seeing the doctor was not. Why ask all the same questions we had answered on a form we had been sent and required to bring in? Why ask about medications provided on a list in front of her? She was training someone and the computer system was giving her fits, so maybe that had her discombobulated. read more

(ahead of time) 2. wait while finishing with people in front of me. 3. my turn to hand in completed paperwork, insurance card, credit card, multiple electronic signatures for various agreements, pleasant conversation with 3 ladies on other side of counter (they were training a new hire) 4. once everything was completed, then and only then did they attempt to hand me a mask and say I will need to wear this. I explained why and that I will not comply. note- at no time prior did anyone attempt to me about a "mask policy" they said, i will not be seen without the mask. 5. took my paperwork and left the premises. I will not be back nor will any of my family members. Plenty of other physicians to go to. Your masks are useless in combating the scamdemic. read more

The doctors at Martin Foot & Ankle are in the business of making money, not healing people. A biopsy was taken from my nail and I was called for a second appointment to be seen for a total of 2 minutes and charged 2 copays. A phone call letting me know the results would have been completely sufficient. After requesting an explanation for my bill at the front desk I was assured I will receive a phone call from the doctor. The call never happened. My foot will never EVER step in their offices again. wow, i wish every doctor's office could be this well run! i had an ingrown toenail that could no longer be fixed by bathroom surgery and called them at 8 am and they got me in at 11 am the same day. i was greeted by friendly front office staff, the nurse who spoke with me was also friendly and took a thorough inventory of my problems and put me at ease. i saw dr. dunkerly and was impressed by the amount of time that he spent explaining the procedure to me and by his bedside manner in general. i am a big baby so trust me when i say that the partial toenail removal was a lot less painful than the youtube videos i watched would have had me believe. they the dr and the nurse answered all of my questions and performed the procedure with care. at today's followup i arrived half an hour before my appointment time, was seen immediately, and left before my appt was originally scheduled to start!! read more

Dr was friendly, explained everything thoroughly regarding my surgery, came out of surgery black and blue from ekgs monitor tapes being ripped off me while I was still under, that would he Apple Hill surgical center not the dr though. Dr gets an excellent, surgical center gets a negative and Dr office associates luv to transfer u to a voicemail that never calls back, yes this happened more than once so Drs staff gets a negative also. read more

I had a nail removed. Was told it would heal in 2 to 3 weeks. I suffered intense and unbearable pain for 3 months. Finally after going back to The Dr and Martin foot and ankle and not getting any better I sought out another. In less than a week I was wonderful. I would never recommend such a staff and such Dr.s. It was awful and so was the service. I had called had to explain that I only had 30 min for lunch the lady that answered said it was in my notes and that would make sure I would make it back in time. Nope again jurst another case of they will say what they think you want to hear. Even the Dr said is work really that important. Wow I bet it is when they want there payment. I sure hope this does not get deleted it really and truly is an awful thing when trust in physicians does not met with what is being told to patient. read more

I had been to another podiatrist before him for 4 years and I wanted a 2nd opinion. Apple Hill surgical center was professional and followed up after my surgeries. I saw Dr. Craig Martin, for a hammer toe, on my right foot. I had been told, by another doctor, it would be a simple matter of snipping a tight tendon, on top of my foot. According to Dr. Martin, I needed surgery. He wasn't very clear, before hand, what he was going to do, just that he would take care of the hammer toe. I was surprised, when I woke up from surgery, that all five toes had pins sticking out the end. When I asked why, when all I needed was a hammer toe repaired, I was told my big and little toes had bunions and the other toes were bent, so they needed straightening. When the dressings and pins were removed my big toe was way out to the left, creating a "V" space with the second & 3rd toes, which went off at an angle, the other way. Dr. Martin did a 2nd surgery to repair that, but that meant shortening my 1st metatarsal bone. It didn't totally correct the "V", only lessened it. So, now I am embarrassed to have others see my foot and can't wear sandles. In addition to the "V", the second and third toes are totally straight and since he broke both toes, before he put the pins in, the joints do not bend, so these toes go off at an angle, and are about 1/4" longer than the others, because they don't bend. That makes it very difficult to find shoes that are long enough to prevent the ends of the toes rubbing on the inside of the shoe. I have constant numbness/tingling and pain in these toes, The surgery was three years ago. In total, I had to have five surgeries, to correct what Dr. Martin did to my foot. I am now having even more joint and nerve pain in this foot. Most recently, if I don't walk with the front of my foot off the ground, I get sharp, shooting nerve pain in my big toe and up my leg. It takes my breath away, and walking on my heel makes the arthritis in my ankle hurt worse. So, you see, walking is very difficult now, and my foot pain is worse than it was before I had the surgery. If I had it to do over, I would never have gone to Dr. Martin to have this surgery done. read more

Terrible! My insurance didn't cover which I was well aware of. I came here before and was charged $110 For the office visit which I have no dispute about. I came a year later for a follow up since the problem seemed to not be completely cleared up. They tried to charge me $280 For cutting 2 toenails plus the additional fee for the doctors visit! I was not told this before hand. Needless to say in the end I ended up paying $75 For the office visit for them to tell me absolutely nothing. Never again! read more

Had a lot of fun with the Doctor joking around but it wasn't worth it in the long run. First of all I had hoped to get all my ingrown toenails removed but he refused and decided to to do two. The numbing needle is extremely painful but the cutting of the nails is painless. He only spent a few minutes in the exam room with me each visit and most of his time elsewhere with a girl. When I told him one of the procedures on the side of my nail didn't work because I had a growth much like a flat toothpick that grew up to a point that I had to remove at home. He said I was wrong but every few months when the growth starts catching on my sock and scratches my bed sheets I have to rip it off which is bloody and painful. I figure if it grows up at the side of my nail, it is made of the same substance as a toenail, it is attached at the bottom and must be ripped off then it's part of a nail. I have no idea what he thinks it is! On my last visit he suddenly came in the room with what looked like a wire cutter and ripped off half of my one big toenail without warning. It hurt like hell and bled so bad they had to bandage it. I have no idea why he did that. I have no desire to return so I guess I'll look for a better place to go. June 2016. I just finished sitting on my bed operating on the big toenail of my right foot. I knew something was wrong for a few days. I noticed my big toe was getting sore next to the nail and I knew it was from the side of the nail that was supposed to have been removed by Martin's associate long ago. I could tell that a pointed shard of toenail was slowly growing up through my toe right next to the nail. I tried a couple times before to dig it out but finally tonight I was determined to get it because I know that they get worse slowly until I can't stand the pain. I dug down into my toe and pulled it out. Martin's told me to not do this because of the chance of infection but I have been doing it for many years and what they tried to do was a total waste of time. read more

Mixed review. The receptionist was cheerful and efficient. The technician was efficient while taking the x-rays of my foot (3 of them). I felt tepid about Dr. Kaspar. Where this practice really fell down was getting my prescription to the pharmacy. I went to the drug store to pick up my meds, but Martin hadn't faxed it in. I called Martin and they said to wait longer and try at the drug store again. After 3 hours, the prescription still hadn't been faxed in. I called Martin back and was told that my prescription was in the system, but no one had bothered to fax/phone or otherwise get it to the pharmacy. Terrible service. read more
