    I was referred to Christie Perkins by my colleagues at FSU, and I'm so grateful for this referral…read more Christie is an excellent Realtor, and for many reasons, I strongly recommend her as an agent for anyone looking to purchase a home in Tallahassee! First, Christie is very knowledgeable. She is from Tallahassee, and she knows everything about the local real estate market, and she offers great feedback about individual properties and their resale potential. She also knows everything else about Tallahassee, and can provide great recommendations for restaurants and cultural events. Second, Christie is very skilled at helping buyers navigate the process of purchasing a house. Buying a house can be overwhelming when there are hundreds of homes on the market. Christie helped narrow the set of homes for me to consider by listening carefully to what I wanted and needed in a home during a first phone conversation. From the list she provided, I was able to choose a dozen or so properties that were of interest to me. Third, Christie is very helpful and accommodating. I was living out of state during the home-buying process, and so I arranged a three day visit to Tallahassee to see the properties in person (this was important to me, but for other buyers who choose Christie to represent them, I know she is willing to assist with remote viewings). Christie was able to ensure I saw all the properties in which I was interested during my short visit. At the end of the first day of viewing properties, we thoroughly debriefed, and we were able to determine my true preferences for a home in Tallahassee. The next day I saw a different set of homes based on the feedback Christie expertly solicited, and it was such a successful day that I identified multiple properties I would be willing to purchase. I also worked with Christie's assistant Callie on my visit. Callie is very helpful and professional, and both she and Christie were more than willing to find answers to my idiosyncratic questions (e.g., does the HOA allow composting?). Both Christie and Callie are very responsive and communicative via email, phone, and text. Fourth, Christie is very skilled at putting together an offer, and she drafted an offer on my first choice property that a) fit my budget and b) was competitive enough to be accepted by the seller. She also offered great advice during the negotiation process. Fifth, Christie is very organized. Once my offer was accepted by the seller, she provided a detailed checklist and timeline to ensure that we encountered no issues and were able to close on schedule. Christie and Callie also arranged additional inspections of interest to me (e.g., fireplace/chimney inspection) and arranged for quotes for other items I needed for the property I purchased (e.g., whole-home generator). Sixth, Christie is very connected to other service providers in the Tallahassee area. Her referrals to local, trusted businesses have been invaluable. For example, she referred me to a lender for a mortgage, and this lender was ultimately the best option for me. She also provided multiple insurance agent referrals, and I chose one of these agents to assist me with obtaining the right homeowners insurance policy for me. I have also used her referrals for a locksmith, pest control, plumber, fencing, and chimney repair, and I will soon contact referrals for landscaping and housekeeping. I'm glad my colleagues at FSU recommended Christie to me, and I likewise recommend her to others. She goes above and beyond for her clients!

One of them bought a house, sight unseen, for a move across the country. They said Christie did tons of legwork to chase down every detail and make them feel comfortable. Then in terms of results, the move-in delivered absolutely what Christie prepared them for. No surprises or concerns at all, and they love their new home. My situation was just like that, except i was buying from literally all the way around the world. Time zones meant there were only a few hours a day we could conveniently communicate by phone or zoom. But Christie communicated early mornings and late nights to make sure everything was right. Christie found terrific places to choose among, she shared lots of information so i could make good decisions, and she was an _outstanding_ point person making sure that every technical detail through the closing and beyond was 100% reliable and executed on time. There were lots of challenges along the way, but Christie created none of them, and she helped to solve lots of them. She helped me think about literally everything about the new place, from pricing to parking, from neighborhoods to new paint. There's no way to recommend someone higher than i recommend Christie. She was amazing.

    Well, today was the last day of our contract. We will not be extending it. We have incurred (and…read morenow lost) the costs associated with financing, inspections, and appraisals. Neither the seller's broker nor the escrow law firm representing the seller responded to emails requesting a status update on this the last day of the contract. Just wow.

    I worked with Jason Madsen as my realtor as a first time home-buyer here in Tallahassee. Jason time…read moreand time again would over-promise and under deliver. I had really hoped that a real estate company with almost 5 stars would only hire the best and brightest, that kept their promises to customers. As a first time home buyer, I had to settle on a lot of things with this home purchase. He didn't try very hard to negotiate or push for the non-negotiable items I listed to be fixed and provided documentation for. And after his inability to get sod included in our contract he gave me his word that regardless of the seller's cooperation he would fulfill this promise to me, and provide me a full yard of grass. I asked to have it in writing and he told me over text message not to worry and he would handle it. It's now been 9 months since closing and he's been nothing but rude over text with me, stating that there is nothing more to be done on his end, leaving me with a bare backyard and dirt patches throughout my front "yard". I've talked to people in the manausa office trying to see if there's anything that they could do but they can't do much besides ask him to make this right. It's been six months since I talked to the office manager and still no word from Jason.

    This company is terrible. I called them multiple times in a two week period and never spoke to a…read moreperson. I left multiple messages and never heard back from them. If you Google apartments in Tallahassee, you will find multiple websites that say that Kingdom First Property owns those properties. Each website has a different way to make appointments to see these properties (call, text, online, etc). Turns out none of them really make an appointment with them. I even got a confirmed e-mail, call and text about the appointments with Kingdom First Property and no one showed up for the appointments. This happened multiple times. The confirmation email or website would also mix up the time of day of the appointment that I had made which was confusing. The funny thing is I always got an email asking me about my experience after the appointment (where no one came). I was contacted by email by Brittany, who was the Realitor I was suppose to meet at each property. She claimed that I never had an appointment, because they didn't rent out those properties. The odd thing is that each property had her name, number, and Kingdom First Property contact information. They had terrible customer service and it made my property hunting very confusing. Also we went to all the properties and they were in terrible condition. I had watched the videos online and even thought about applying to them before physically seeing them. I am so glad I didn't apply, because they were so gross. They still have stuff throughout the property, mold on the walls, paint peeling, fixtures broken, etc. The previous owner of one of the properties said that she had problems with outlets and the A/C. Some of the properties were in a nice location that was quiet and safe but others were very sketchy. I highly recommend not making an appointment with them until you talk directly with a person.
