He did extensive x-rays and bloodwork and explained everything to us in detail. Our regular vet had rushed us through in ten minutes several days prior, and our cat was no better. We paid $350 there for nothing. (No advice, no diagnosis, no concern...) My husband and I both agree that we will drive a little farther from now on for better care. Our old vet will be just an unpleasant memory.

Case in point - I called the office 3 days ago re: an ear problem my dog has had several times. I couldn't get an appointment for 2 days, and when we got there today, we were kept waiting for a half hour, and still never got to see the vet. Apparently Dr Martello has sold the practice, and it shows.

I took him to my regular vet who checked the kitten, told me to "not get too attached" and "even if it lived with would be completely blind", and sent me home. In desperation, I started calling all the vet clinics in the area. Dr Brown's was the first to say they would see me that day. Everyone else wanted me to wait several days. I took the kitten in. Dr. Brown said."We never give up on the little ones." He gave me specially fortified food for the babe and showed me how to treat his eyes with two different kinds of eye drops. That kitten is now a full grown cat with enough vision in one eye to lead a normal cat life. I had planned on calling the kitten Rumba, because he would walk till he would run into something, then turn and go another direction. Today, his name is Houdini, because he is a great escape artist.

Their staff was very friendly, and Dann was exceptionally helpful. The veterinarian was very pleasant and seemed to enjoy what he was doing. All told, I was there for maybe 25 minutes; seeing as I got there about 20 minutes early. If anyone in the Canton area is looking for an inexpensive and expeditious means of pet vaccination, VIP pet care is the way to go!
