I am SO lucky that I found Dr. Donnelly. He and his staff made my experience a pleasant one, and I had A LOT of correcting that needed to be done. My son went to Dr Donnelly beginning 4th grade. He had a slight underbite so I had him see an…read moreorthodontist early so the bite could be corrected while he was growing. Dr. Donnelly had him begin a pre-treatment. This involved expander and face guard. While my son was using expander, the bracket broke. Instead of replacing, Dr. Donnelly says it was no longer needed. This could have been a coincidence but I felt Dr. Donnelly did not want to spare the $ of giving him a new one. Then next step was to have him wear a mouth guard. My son wore this everyday and night when possible for 3/4 years. It hardly moved anything. At each visit I would point out that this device was not working so perhaps he would be able to do something to help his upper teeth to move. After 3 years he didnt try any other type of procedure that might help the process along. We paid over $3000 dollars for pre-treatment and I feel he did not provide any services. All he did was have him continue to wear a mouth piece and gave us 5 minute office visits every 3 months just to tell us to keep wearing the mouth piece. I felt after a year or so of wearing the mouth guard he should have tried to do other orthodontic work to help the process. He is a scam artist and will try and charge top dollars while doing very little work. A good orthodontist would try and do what is necessary to correct the problem. He had him wearing this for 3/4 years and did nothing else. My son is now 13 going on 14 and still have an incorrect bite with no work done. He says now we should move to braces stage but says my son will need jaw surgery and wants to charge me over 10k for braces. Luckily I was able to find another orthodontist who is willing to do additional work to avoid surgery and will not charge anything extra. He is giving me one price and it includes braces and any other necessary process he needs to do to correct. Dr. Donnelly's office was also not helpful when the other place called for my sons records. I paid for these records and they should release them with my consent. However they make it difficult for you to obtain them. Anyone thinking of using Dr. Donnelly for ortho treatment please get a 2nd opinion so you can compare services and understand what you are paying for.

Then I was fitted for a retainer and the lady literally choked me. I had to grab her arms and pull them down so I could breathe...worst part is she blamed it on ME. I left crying and no one gave a crap...the dr didn't call me to apologize...I am traumatized. So happy this was me though and not one of my children this happened to.

Since Covid, it is a disaster. The kids go in themselves, which is fine, but then you get no update from hygeniest? so in the last year, I have no idea how they are progressing. I have 2 kids in braces, they can NOT ever schedule them on the same day?? not sure why, when you call they say they are fully booked. The last straw was my daughter had to take an online test after school, so I called to reschedule the routine appointment, she gave me 6 weeks out, even though I said I could come anytime after 2pm, but no. The receptionist is very stressed. Dr. Mazzacco is an excellent orthodontist and he just needs to get his facility back to how it was.

Hygienist Lisa was awesome with a hyper, cabin-fevered kiddo, giving names and "kid-friendly" applications to the entire cleaning process (my fave: Mr. Thirsty for the mouth vac). Any discomfort or unease from my boy melted away with her engaging conversation and demeanor. Thank you Lisa. Dr. Heather was direct and didn't try to upsell X-rays, procedures or anything - just straight-forward advice for the next six months of a constantly changing PreK mouth.
