If you arrive by car, there is a good number of lots right at the main road here. But they fill up very fast. After 10pm it is full - at least in high season. Parking is actually free, even though some local guy will try to charge you. The beach is free as well, even though there's a small kiosk, where you can rent chairs and get some ice cream and sandwiches. It is a stone beach, so just a towel will not be very comfortable. And I have to say that there's quite some garbage on the beach. Besides that, it's a nice little beach. Mostly locals and Italian Tourists gather here, not many international visitors, which is a good thing. The water here is really nice and warm. Very clean as well, at least in the morning. In the afternoon, when the tide changes, more algaes and garbage are being washed close to the beach. So take you swim before that. It's not a perfect beach. It's not the cleanest. But when the water is still clean it's just so beautifully warm and almost without waves. Really nice. Also to get a glimpse of the local life. Not worth for a daytrip I guess, but if you're around this area, surely worth a look. After 7pm the kiosk closes and most people will leave. A good moment to enjoy the beach for an evening walk or to let your dog have a quick swim.

Atmosphere is calm and relaxing, family friendly. Also, restaurant is open to outside people too. Food and chief here are amazing. Hotel service, concierge, especially Roberto is just wonderful. However, restaurant Ai Limoni service is not as good. But since chief and the food he makes is amazing we kind of bypassing the service lol. Our rooms are ocean view with balcony, clean and beautiful,, if you visit Sicily, do get this hotel, highly recommend

Many of the trees are palm trees because of course, Palermo is on the Mediterranean Sea and even in January there will be green. In the Summer, I would imagine that this would be quite the spot to hang out and get out of the bright sun. But for us in winter, it was just a pleasant spot to pass through on our way to lunch. Cutlery, pictures, LPs and records, glassware, decorative items, stamps, portraits and even a vendor with coffee and pastries. My friend negotiated with a guy who was selling Italian Lira notes. Italy has since converted to the Euro currency so these are increasingly rare. And this was my one regret from this trip. He had two notes and I decided not to purchase the other. I really wish I'd bought it. An Italian lira note, bought in Italy. Ugh, why didn't I buy it! From the old area it's about an hour walk to the base of this little rocky hill then the hike begins on cobble stoned pedestrian/bike only road up the mountain with amazing views of the city. It's very quiet - i only saw couple of bikers pass and tranquil with birds chirping and later a herd of sheep. The signage is a little confusing as you reach the church at top and I missed the church to take the bus back and ended up at top of the mountain where the huge towers are. Trekked back to the church to catch the bus back to the city as it was getting dark. The hike is only about an hour and fairly easy. The buses do not run frequently - about every 90 minutes but there are a few coffee shops by the church. The town has a pilgrimage walk to the mountain each year so if you happen to be in town during that time, you can join the hundreds of people on the voyage. value 5/5 atmosphere 4/5 service 3/5 quality 3/5 15/20

On the shore of an old tuna cannery , the beach is no sand but a cement ramp into the sea. There are small cliff on the beach to dive into the Deep crystal clear waters. One of the most beautiful places I have visited on this planet. There is parking up on the street in a small lot the. A couple 100 meters to the entrance. About 3 Euros per person for the day. If you are visiting any cities or towns within an hour please make the journey. This will not disappoint!

In free park you'll see the old entrance to Botanical Gardens with great statues. It was too many plants for me. Way too much, but some of them left me with an open jaw. The tree with spikes all over it! I call it three hedgehog. There are toilets. Great place for romantic walkaround. Ticket €5! This is oldest botanic garden in Europe! 200 years old.

The gardens history can be traced back to 1779 making it the oldest garden in Europe and now covers 10 hectares, the gardens has certainly been run down which is a shame. The garden has a number of Australian plants which always makes you a little homesick such as the Moreton Bay Fig. There is also a free garden next door that you can also explore, if the weather is good or far too hot I would suggest dropping by the gardens to cool down as there is plenty of cover to escape the heat and plenty of paths to explore.
