My daughter has been going to Pediatric Dentistry for 8 years now. I have tried on several occasions to get her to move to the dentist that my wife and I use just for convenience, but she loves it too much. I've never seen a child that actually looks forward to her dentist visits like she does. I can also say that the staff is very friendly and reasonable. I recently had an issue with the billing, but they were quick to make it right. I don't expect everyone to be perfect, but I appreciate it when a business does what's best for the customer. I would definitely recommend Dr. Muncy's office to anyone. read more

My kids love Dr Muncy....sure he is wide open, dresses wild, cooky jokes, but that's what they like about him. They have only been to him as their dentist.....and I never have a hard getting them to go....they actually look forward to it. Today there was a Christmas miracle on The Parkway, and most of y'all missed it. I have a three-year-old little girl who has had a heck of a time with pediatric dentists this year. She went through two failed rounds of in-office sedation, where the dentist absolutely scared the bejeebus out of her, and left me wondering if she would ever willingly sit in a dentist's chair again. We were finally referred to Dr. Muncy to have the work done under general anesthesia, but as it turns out our insurance wouldn't cover the surgery center or anesthesiologist's services. I decided to throw a Hail Mary pass and let Dr. Muncy try the procedure in his office before paying thousands of dollars out of pocket for general anesthesia. Today, my little girl, who could previously only be described in the dentist chair as combative (at best) had two crowns placed on her back teeth with absolutely no problems. Not a single tear was shed. There was no sedation involved, beyond the use of nitrous gas. I can only attribute this to a difference in bedside (chairside?) manner between Dr. Muncy and his staff and the previous practice we had visited. Dr. Muncy and his staff were all great. The dental assistant (I feel terrible that I forgot her name!) was really friendly and great at keeping her calm and helping with the gas. Nobody raised their voice, and my previously petrified preschooler left the office happy and excited to return. Let that sink in a minute. A three-year-old got her teeth drilled on and said she couldn't wait to come back. I'd recommend this practice to anyone in the market for a pediatric dentist. read more

I'm sure there has to be a record of this guy getting sued. He is a real ADHD hotmess. Doesn't acknowledge the parent sitting in the room, or bother to tell you what he's doing to your child. Gave my child a crown but didn't ask me if I minded if it was the metal kind- what if he was allergic to any metals? Lawsuit! Stay away from this place- even the hygienists are assholes. read more

Dr. Muncy has been our children's dentist since their first birthdays. I simply don't understand some of the negative comments posted. Dr. Muncy has been kind and interactive to my children, myself and my husband and has always been great with communicating with us. Our youngest son required some dental work and he did an excellent job. Between our three boys we've had nearly 30 visits so far over the years and each visit has been excellent (and the ice cream ending is the best!). read more

Between our 2 children we've been patients of Dr. Mark for 10 years. Sadly they've aged out of the pediatric dentistry circuit but because of their great experience with Dr Mark they do not fear dentists. We did not have great visits with Muncy's. There were times when he found multiple cavities but each child is different and their mouths are different so we follow his directions and try to prevent as many as we can. We as a family believe Dr Mark has established a positive start to healthy oral hygiene for our kids. Thank you Dr Mark for many years of great service! read more

I would not recommend Dr. Muncy. My Daughter went there for 4 years. Four years of rudeness, horrible wait times, and when my child needed a cavity filled it was going to be 8 months b4 she could be seen! He doesn't care about trying to make your child or you comfortable in any way and doesn't even stay long enough to answer questions or concerns you may have. Yes they may have fish tanks, ice cream and a big playground but that doesn't matter when the Doctor and staff are horrid. I now take our daughters to Kool smiles where they have all the play things and awesome Doctor and staff! read more

Been going here for about 10 years. Fun environment. My kids look forward to their cleanings. When they have any procedure done, Dr. Muncy is so good at distracting them that they don't even realize they had anything outside of a routine cleaning done. The staff is friendly and you can get in and out quickly. It's no wonder as to why we have been going there with our 5 kids for the past 10 years! read more

Took my daughter to Dr Muncy one time and that was enough for me. He was very rude and not at all good with children. He wanted to crown a baby tooth which was completely unnecessary since it was going to fall out soon anyway. I would never recommend him to anyone... read more

The ONLY good things about the office is the playground in the waiting room good thing, because you do A LOT of waiting. And the ice cream afterwards. DR. Muncy doesn't talk to you or even act like hes human. Makes up "problems" and LOVES to strap kids to a table, they got mad at me when I wouldn't sign the form!! I was a very stupid parent and didn't get a second opinion I didn't have dental insurance and paid thousands of dollars that I didn't need to for problems that this office made up!!! BE CAREFUL VERY CAREFUL!!! My daughter was traumatized and had an awful fear from going to this dentist!!! If you are in need look up Greer pediatric dental care, Dr. Mary Okuley she is great with kids, treats your kids as her own and you feel like part of her family!! Don't waste time or money or make your kids go thru things for things that don't exist!! You will NOT regret going to Dr. Mary!! read more

Would not recommend Dr Mark Muncy Pediatric Dentistry, DMD to anyone. To start, Dr Muncy walked into the room with a lot of silly chatter to our daughter and never introduced himself or even acknowledged my presence. When I asked questions I received very vague answers. Almost as if he was in too much of a hurry to even be bothered by my silly concerns. Unfortunately, our daughter had cavities. He gave us the choice to crown them in his office or go into the OR and do them all at once. My husband and I weren't comfortable with the OR option. We went in to have one crown done under laughing gas. Prior to entering the room, I asked "Felicia" who had called us back if restraints was procedural and her answer was no as long as the child is not reactive. We did not want our daughter restrained as we felt that it would cause more issues. Felicia was rude when I tried to explain and didn't want to hear what I had to say. Needless to say, our daughter did wonderful and didn't need the restraints anyways. I was supposed to receive a call to schedule the follow up appointment for another crown. As usual they never never called. I had to make several calls to them letting them know that our daughter is having sensitivity with another tooth. They continued to force the OR on us and when We didn't give in, they said that they wanted to refer us to someone else who would give more sedation. We agreed to that option and never received the referral. They now refuse to do any further work on our daughter. I am left to find another dentist while our daughter is in pain. I wouldn't go back if I could at this point because my trust is diminished completely. I was very cautious in the beginning and I had good reason. I normally do not give bad reviews but in this case I worry about the children that go to this office. I suggest that if you visit this office ALWAYS stay with your child no matter the procedure. read more
