When we were first time home buyers, the very first house we wanted to look at was represented by…read moreDrakeley Real Estate. We arrived a few minutes early and the agent wasn't there yet. No problem, we were early. Well 40 minutes goes by, still no agent. I call the office and they play dumb as to why he isn't there. It's a Drakeley that is supposed to be meeting us. We decided to leave. We never heard from them as to why they never came. We are selling our house and are not using them. I feel they are more concerned with more expensive houses and don't want to be bothered with us pions .

Anyway, we saw a house one morning and decided to drive out to see it. We liked it and wanted to have a closer look. We called the number on the For Sale sign. Mary Ann Bennett, the listing agent, answered. When she heard we were at the property she said she could be there in 5 minutes. She then asked if we were working with an agent and we said we hadn't gotten that far yet. She came right over, let us into the house and before we had a second to look at anything she tried to pressure us into signing something that said she was the only agent we were working with. I'm not one to sign a contract in this way nor were we willing to say that we wouldn't hire an agent to help us through the buying process. Mary Ann snapped back that this was why she asked us if we were working with anyone. Going further she stated that if we were working with an agent that person should be there working instead of her. It was so rude my husband and I were stunned. We stated that we would be happy to leave. She paused and said "just look at it". We started to look around and just decided to leave. She was so disrespectful. There were many ways for her to deal with us that weren't rude. I feel bad for the people who are using her as their agent.

Other realitors flew in an out, while the agent stayed alone near the entry or in her car. While the agent was always nice, there was no ability to market or even adequately and correctly respond to questions. When I asked to cancel, she gave me the paperwork and then for many days responded to my questions confirming it was canceled. Finally she admitted it wasn't and her manager got involved and has refused to cancel They are holding me hostage and I am unable to move forward. The listing has been taken down from the internet, but not canceled in the MLS. Only now am I learning that Raveis isn't cooperative about releasing an unhappy client, while others are. They have caused me great harm, and I am stuck in limbo and they don't care. Stay clear of them.

Her rudeness, and dishonesty when answering questions about a home that had obvious issues, displayed a complete lack of integrity. When told that I had been shown other homes by a realtor and did not wish to sign an exclusive contract with her ( the listing agent for the home I was interested in) this woman went on a rant of how I ( a potential cash buyer) wasted her time because she would not be getting full commission on a home she said was about to go into foreclosure. She was a raving lunatic who should not be given the responsibility of dealing with prospective home buyers. I would advise all buyers and sellers to beware and do your due diligence before hiring this person to do the important and sensitive work of matching families with homes that are well suited to them.

She helped us every step of the way in buying our first home: from visiting homes, placing a competitive offer, finding the right lawyers/inspectors/loan officers, answering questions about the area, and finally helping us at closing day! She always answered all the questions we had so considerably (even though some were super basic, I am sure). She never made us feel silly for asking, and she always had the answer to put us at ease. She was available and responded so quickly to emails and texts. She is also very detail oriented; on the day of our inspection she printed out the coupon for the inspector for us.. So beyond thoughtful. We knew she was always on our side, and helped us navigate this market during the pandemic. She is beyond professional, and inspires even us to be better at our own jobs!

Betsy was my main point of contact -- she is very responsive and knowledgable, and is a great communicator. Tom helped view properties and added his knowledge about home construction and he's also good with tech. They provided me with a Matterport (3D-walkthrough) of the home I purchased which has been so helpful in managing upgrades. They were both a pleasure to work with and plan to use them again for my next property.
