The teachers they have around LA area take students seperately too. You don't need to go through LAIMA. I started learning with one teacher but had a family emergency and had to head out of country, I took one session, and still got charged $450!!! Plus they don't charge per session. It's an upfront payment per month. It isn't worth it if you enjoy flexibility. They should charge per session, keep a record of how many sessions per month and charge only that much!! So many companies do this!! Lastly there isn't an ability to cancel, which I think is ridiculous. Music is a beautiful thing, learning it should be stress free, and affordable. I wish LAIMA understood that. The one star I'm giving is for the teacher they paired me up with, Javad sir was brilliant.

I really wanted my son who just rurned to learn to play the piano and he also was eager to learn and it is so hard to find a teacher that knows how to work well with kids who move a lot and are a little more impatient than others. Mrs. Sirarpi is absolutely amazing with kids she is both stern and kind at the same time. She put so much dedication and care into the kids and even puts on recitals for the kids to be a part of which is such an excellent thing for them to be and I highly highly recommend sound of music school they also do violin not only piano which I just found out about.

Their website is via Tumblr (?) which is a surprise. Lessons were $40 / session, and they recommend one session per week (but how long is a session?). Overall, I wish that there was more clarity on this side from time to payment the moment that we signed up. Parking was fairly easy to find on the street or in the lot in the back. However, do note that parking on the street is via metered parking and not free most hours. Return? Potentially for some music books!

That said the experience wasn't bad, but, I believe for someone like me who doesn't have knowledge of speakers, a little more education would have been helpful. I am sure this an ideal place for musicians who know what they want. Unfortunately, I bought the wrong speaker. When I returned it, the staff member was pleasant and didn't make a fuss about it.
