I ended up having to pay out-of-pocket for the full expense. I've never had a dental office have this lack of regard before. Also, in hindsight, I don't think I needed my filling redone and wish I wouldn't have had the service in the first place. I think they push unnecessary services. I definitely felt like a wallet.

Today, I was charged ($$$) for the second time, for my doctor's review and confirmation of his original diagnosis from the last visit, for which I was also charged ($$$). No work was done on my teeth then or today. I have two dental plans, both of which cover 100% of diagnostic examinations. I questioned why I was being billed again for covered services, pointing to the patient record on their screen verifying the insurance coverage. The response was an argument. Then, as I prepared to leave, I was required to pay *in advance* for dental work which may or may not be done at my next visit. (!!) Other medical billers will make a phone to verify coverage. Not here. They bill you. This is unfortunate. The doctors at Premier Dental deserve more competent support. So do we, the patients.

The length of time it takes to get a routine cleaning from start to finish has also increased to one to one and a half hours. There are continual billing issues and errors - which is always blamed on the insurance company. No one ever returns calls and different information is given to the customer depending on who you speak to. They also claim that my wife and I cannot have separate billing accounts. Now, they are charging a three percent surcharge for using a credit card which is not listed as a separate line item on the invoice (which is required). I wasn't even given the option to pay by check or debit card. And, I did not see any posting of these charges at the time of payment. Beware and use this business at your own risk.

This is compounded by their reduced office hours -- some partial days, etc. during the week. And yet, if you have a dental emergency and try to get in at the last minute, you just can't -- or it's very difficult. Generally not very accommodating. I also I had an implant procedure that didn't go well -- the implant post fell out of my mouth after a 1 1/2-hour bone graft procedure to put it in. While I was patient with this situation, they don't extend the same flexibility and courtesy to their patients.

We learned through many encounters with them, that you need to keep copies of your signed treatment plans or they will change up the cost of the treatment and request more money. Despite having gone round and round with them for years with copies of our signed treatment plans, they continue to send bills. These bills aren't even itemized and they can't seem to ever describe what the amount is for. When we call the business to remedy, they "assure" us they will speak to the office manager. We are told the amount is resolved. And then we get another bill in the mail months later. This has now been going on for nearly 2 years. Sadly our family, who have been patients here for many years, have officially moved our entire family away from this practice.

I first visited him for a complicated dental implant procedure that had previously required multiple different doctors. While other dentists refused to take on the case or had insanely high costs, Dr. Hall stepped in and quarterbacked the entire process to see to it everything was successful and up to my expectations.
