Since I had recently quit a toxic job, he was concerned that I would no longer be able to pay him. The nerve for him to say this after me giving him my life savings to help me get my child back. He told me he would have to file a motion to withdraw as my attorney, and that I had to sign it and agree, otherwise he would "take me on in court and I wouldn't stand a chance against him." I later realized I had the right to not let him withdraw as my attorney at that point, as we were headed for a trial in just a few months, but he lied to me and basically told me I had no choice. Not only this, but he failed in every way possible as my attorney. He did absolutely nothing to help my case. At one point, I kid you not, he referred to himself as a "Ferrari driving you to Vegas that needs to be filled with premium gasoline"....when I asked him why his going rate was $450 an hour when all he did during the time I was with him is play on his tablet, brag about himself, and use AI to write his paperwork in court. He is a complete narcissist and also formerly a judge from California. He decided to become a lawyer just for the money, and it shows. He doesn't care about people, or families, or integrity.
