I thought the total quote was high, but agreed as they (EF) were already in the area AND I thought I'd only pay for one half (ish). After the work was done I was presented with an invoice equal to the total estimate - not impressed. Based on the estimate and how it was itemized, I believe that my neighbour paid nothing and I got stuck with the entire cost. BE WARY OF THIS OUTFIT!!

Unfortunately this time the fence sunk over the winter, alot on one side. I followed up multiple times with no response. Finally a few people came to look at it, they said they would follow-up with me. I never heard back. I followed up again by phone, this time the owner was very rude and yelled at me. I asked her to please stop yelling. I asked for a quote for a higher fence (5ft) as she explained to fix the current one (4ft) it would leave a huge gap at the bottom which my dog could get out. She said she would send a quote. A month later I followed up again. She then replied they will not come and fix it. I've recommended them to my family and friends after this first install. This time was very upsetting to see the lack of service and professionalism after the sale. Buyer beware. I would not recommend based on this experience.

Many companies and contractors view putting in fences as a bother and small potatoes, with the amount of construction and renovations going on in the city. Maritime Fence, came out and inspected for a quote in 2 days, and I received the emailed quote that afternoon. They scheduled the installation according to my time schedule. Wood fence. One morning to put in posts, which set, and the following morning to build in place a 40ft wood fence. Quality selected wood, no knots. Quality wood, and to my specifications, on budget and on time. They have ONE crew that does ALL the wood fences, other crews handle metal and industrial fences. Great craftsmanship and could not be more pleased. If only I had back all the time I wasted hounding other contractors. Professionals. You might save a couple of hundred dollars shopping around but you may also wait and extra year as I did. Dangerous! While accessing an underground NSP junction box,…read morea deep trench remained overnight without a barrier or covering. This trench crossed the entrance to a public park. NovaCraft Contracting Ltd. created trip hazards on a property including uneven/raised sods that were well above the grade and left large rocks and gravel on the disturbed lawn. While using the lawn as a storage facility for the excavated material, communication junction box was separated. This matter was brought to an employee's attention though they refused to repair their mistake/damages. An email was sent to the owner, Mathew Simms, presenting the opportunity to rectify the unresolved damages to the property. No response to the communication has been received. Based on NovaCraft Contracting Ltd. behaviour and performance, insurance companies should be advised of potential liabilities.
