Perhaps my favorite aspect was that their seasonings were not overly salty - I feel that most other seafood boil restaurants just include way too much salt in their seasonings... but at Pier 88, you can really indulge without feeling like you're going to end up with high blood pressure! I wasn't aware of this, and placed all the discarded items on top of it while eating bareheaded as I didn't see supplies, and no one was around to ask. Usually places will bring on the side, and I wish I was told that in advance when it was brought to the table. It made for quite the mess, but if we return I'll know for next time. Once our server returned to check in after 10+ minutes that's when we were advised, and I adjusted though I had put my boil bag in there so most had been soiled. As for the food, he liked his shrimp while I thought the crab was okay in flavor/spice. It didn't really standout out like other places I've been to recently, but overall I would return if I was in the area.
