Fabulous!! This is probably one of the most amazing places that I've experienced so far. This family owned business has been around, literally for generations. The family is from Naples, and they're the epitome of warmth. They were so welcoming to us, literally could have spent the day there. This amazing umbrella store, is comprised of handmade, beautifully carved wooden handled umbrellas. Each one is unique and special. No two are like, and you know that when you leave the store, you have something that will last a lifetime. They use a variety of local woods to hand, carve the various handles. Who knew that umbrellas came in more than two sizes?! Well, I'm here to tell you that they do, and buying an umbrella is like buying a beautiful coat. You want one that fits you perfectly. Is this a hidden gem? Absolutely!! This is a store that predominantly locals seem to gravitate towards, and it's one of those if you know, you know... Thankfully, we know! Naples, is not a town one first thinks of when considering a purchase of an "umbrella" (London, Seattle, Hawaii...bigger on the issue of rain). But in the heart of Naples is a tiny shop that specializes in umbrellas (King Charles has one, as does the Fonz, not sure who's the bigger star). Quality made, with great fabric and cool handles. You will get what you pay for but don't expect a throw-away device. These things are made to last. Plus the staff is quite pleasant, knowledgeable and very accommodating (I opened far more umbrellas than I purchased). Not saying you should go to Naples for an umbrella, go for the pizza but check out the umbrellas. read more
