Come for the cat, stay for the pottery and conversation.
It was our last day in Barcelona before flying back to NYC when we stumbled upon this charming shop on a residential side street. I'll admit, the sight of a cat drew us in but the pottery and wonderful treatment we received made us stay.
Owner Henry and his business partner are a delight to deal with and personify Catalonian hospitality. Even though we had a language barrier, my boyfriend and I stuck around and chatted with them for close to 45 minutes in broken Spanglish/Catalan.
They have a very friendly cow cat named Noah who is every bit as lovely as they are. (I wish we had gotten a photo of him) We ended up buying a beautiful glazed house number plate in glazed terracotta for my boyfriend's parents. They didn't have a business card but were kind enough to write us their information in immaculate penmanship.
TLDR: Avoid schlocky tourist shops and come here instead. You'll be supporting a small business and getting your money's worth. read more
