Service was not overly friendly but efficient. They speak English, German and Vietnamese (maybe more but that's all I heard). We ordered the beef pho and chicken pho, and split the spring rolls which came with four small rolls. The pho was generously sized and I preferred the beef broth over the chicken broth. They automatically give you a small dipping bowl with half Sriracha and half hoisin sauce for your pho meat, which I've never seen before. Toppings (bean sprouts, herbs) came in the bowl instead of on the side as well. Flavor was not exactly what I'm used to in the US but was good enough for what we wanted. Some fish sauce on the table would have been nice, although they did have soy sauce and chili oil. My main issue was the price. 25 francs for a bowl of pho is probably reasonable for Zurich but the most expensive bowl of pho I've ever had. They also charge one franc per cup of tap water which is a bit much in my opinion. Next time I'll just bring my reusable water bottle.

Our first stop once we landed in Zurich on our 1 week Switzerland trip. My brother got a bacon omelette which he was not particularly impressed with and said he could make the same quality at home. I got the hangover brekkie which consisted of a pile of potato wedges smothered in cheese, a fried egg, 2 slices of bacon, a sausage, and herb cream cheese. This.... was so incredibly heavy - I love potatoes but couldn't only eat half of it. Part of it is because the chef puts the entire plate into like the microwave/oven once everything is plated so the cheese hardens too quickly and the potato wedges were mouth burning hot the entire meal. Even 15 min in, I was burning my mouth on them. The sausage also had an unusual texture and taste to it, I guess I'm used to American sausages but it just did not fit my palette. Also cream cheese is a strange pairing with this dish, something like ranch would have been better. The only redeeming quality was the bacon was perfectly crisp. The cappuccino Dihei was just the boost of caffeine I needed but when I read orange zest as part of the ingredients, I was expecting like finely grated orange, not a thick slice of orange peel hanging off of the cup.

Good variety & fast service. The lady that works the counter is to the point, Don't take her the wrong way, she just wants you to order and enjoy your treats. Only speaks German from what I could tell. My French and Italian did not work with her. Neither did English. In summary, if you want a fast dessert after some bar hopping or just a late night snack, check this place out. Look at the picture I posted, It will give you a good idea of how many options for treats their are.

Watched as nice older gentleman stopped at front door and attendant had his usual package of sweats ready. She helped him load it in his backpack and he headed out to climb a mountain with walking sticks in hand. He trundled off under light snowfall. A close knit neighborhood despite its commercial appearance.
