It used to be great but something has happened recently. Tonight was the last straw for me. I went in at 9:45 and the ATM didn't work. The guy said I should run to the ATM right up the street. I did and was back within 3 minutes. At 9:47, sign still says open and the door is unlocked. I go in and they tell me they're closed. The time before that I came around 7 and they were closed for some reason. The time before that I came and their sign said open and the door was locked. No more. There are way too many other options within a mile. If you're going to close at 9:46, update your business hours, turn off the sign and don't tell me to go use the ATM next door just to turn me away. read more

On the downside, however, the other half of their staff is awful (unfriendly, didn't seem like they wanted to be there helping me - at all... I even caught myself apologizing for asking to smell a strain, after she rolled her eyes & proceeded to act as if I'd done something really wrong by asking to compare two before deciding; I did nothing wrong. Uh oh, looks like I'm the first to review, that's a little bit of pressure... Let me start by saying that I have been to several dispensaries since legalization with the purpose of finding my "go-to", and the majority have had a fine wide ranging selection of buds and extremely helpful, passionate staff. I like the general motif and idea of Marijuana Paradise - all surfboards and big kahuna decor - and while I was at the front counter checking in I felt good about it; the greeter was amiable enough, but then I went in back... I want to preface this by saying I don't like to single anyone out in reviews but there's no avoiding it here; there was one staff member available serving up the greenery, and she acted - at least ostensibly - as if customers were a minor inconvenience. Typically I get wide smiles and passionate descriptions of the product, but here, not even a cursory "can I help you?" I had to be the one to initiate a conversation. I asked some questions, I got very short, disinterested replies. The pot selection was moderate with nothing over 22% THC, but some of the pricing reflected what you would see with more potent options, but that's fine, I can deal with milder pot and slight over-pricedness. What will keep me from coming back is the service. Maybe this girl was having a bad day, I don't know, but with so many other options - some within walking distance - I prefer warmer shoulders to the cold ones. read more

Well.....where to begin. Let me preface by stating I have been going to dispensaries for years, in other states and Oregon. I have never had such a disappointing experience.....ever. (I am writing this before reading Bradley T.'s review) First of all, we walked in to reception desk and the girl sitting there too 15 minutes to check us in. Had no idea how to scan our cards or work the computers. I asked if they offered a veteran's discount, she said she didn't know. Hence, not putting in the system that my father is a veteran, just in case they did offer one. The "big boss" was on the phone ordering food from somewhere so she didn't want to interrupt him. She said we can ask at checkout. Second, the blonde behind the counter made zero effort in making us feel welcome, greeting us or seeing if we had questions. She was continually yapping at her boss. She went through a list of how the pot was organized on the counter at lightening speed. My father is hard of hearing, he had NO idea what she said. She made no effort to explain again so he could hear her. Third, we ordered a squib and the big boss offered us a new brand of them and was trying to sell us that instead. The original squibs are 100mgs THC, the one he was pushing was 68mgs. Same price. I brought that up and he said the 68 was a percentage, and not the same. Being it was clearly marked, my father and I just looked at each other and grabbed the original, said no thanks. Last but not least, at check out, speedy Gonzalez, the blonde, rang thru everything so fast I hurried to blurt out my father is a veteran and is there a discount. She said yes, but it's too late because she already rang it up. I asked if she could re-ring it up so my disabled veteran on a fixed income father could receive the discount, she said no. We walked out of there shaking our heads and vowing to never go back, and to spread the word of how awful they were. The highest THC percent they had was 22%, every single place I've been has higher. They do have a nice array of edibles, but we are not interested in those. My advice? Train your employees focusing on customer service, slow down the vibes in there. I felt like it was a meth lab, not a marijuana dispensary. Welcome your guests, you WANT return customers. read more

This is by far the worst shop in the city. I have never written a review before, but feel like I must let other people know about how unprofessional the owner is. The owner is a total ass. I tried resolving an issue with a pipe I purchased within the same day and he refused to refund, exchange or give me a store credit. He treated me like I was desperate for the money back and never really looked at me in the eyes. He simply is a greedy person that has no regard for selling you bad product and in my case; something that does not work. Never even once apologized and knows I am stuck with something that I am not at all happy with, because it doesn't work. It's funny, because when I was first in the he said"Let us know what you think. We are always interested in feedback." Same day, when I came back and I was very polite - he could careless about any of my constructive feedback on the very poorly made piece he sold me. Such a fake person and horrible business owner. There are many shops all over town. I highly recommend going somewhere else and supporting owners that care a bit more about customers. This guy is not a good person. Plus, their weed selection is very limited and seemed like there was a chemical on what I purchased and it burned my mouth from the first time of light use. read more
