You'll find all the requisite gear for jazz, ballet and the like - classic leotards as well as a few garish patterned lycra styles, wraparound stretchy cover-ups and opaque nude tights. Their range of sports gear changes with the seasons, but you'll always find stylish, easy to wear track pants, hoodies, leggings and exercise tops that don't have that bulky look of mainstream brands. But what this place boasts that most of the others don't have is a dedicated footwear section located at the rear of the store, where anyone after jiffies, pointe shoes or jazz sneakers will be given extra attention, just like in a regular shoe shop.

But at least you can still share the best of being a dancer at Bloch. Every item stocked within these walls are designed for active wear. If you are looking for ballet flats for every-day wear you might just find some here with a bit of flair. Also leggings and well cut track pants are available too. I'd highly encourage someone who was looking for active wear to come in here especially if you've just caught onto to Glee or Hellcats on T.V as you can live out your fantasy of being a dancer even if only by dressing like one.

Suddenly the huddled masses could afford stuff the Hiltons were wearing, oh happy day! Sportsgirl remains a hugely popular brand across several demographics, and the Bondi Junction store is the best of the lot. The staff here are really lovely, something I've found amiss in other branches, and the shop is currently themed "American Road Trip" (I think, they don't have a big sign up or anything!)- it was enticing enough for me to wander in when I'm meant to be saving. Sales racks are towards the back and scattered around the edges of the shop, and they stock great accessories as well as clothes you might just see a Hilton in one day.

Going to a music festival and don't want to spend a fortune on shoes that will get trashed, then you can pick some up here that won't break the bank. The designers need to be applauded because as I am not screaming out to people where I got that great maxi from, it does get commented on. A lot! Kennedy's is the sort of shop my mum walks past and looks adoringly at everything in the window…read more Kennedy's is the kind of shop that she even comes home to tell me about the lovely things that they have on offer at the moment. Consequently, Kennedy's is the kind of shop I try and avoid. If I were pushing 50, I'd probably adore all things Kennedys too. But I'm 22. So I haven't made a habit of shopping there.... Until recently, that it. Because Kennedy's was going off last week. This season's maroon colour? Tick! This season's midi-length skirts? Tick! Prices so reasonable it makes Glassons look dear? Tick! I was amazed; a new devotee, I promised my dear Mummy that I would never again slag Kennedy's off. But then. This week. Old woman blouses reappeared in the windows. Dresses more suited to dolls popped back in. And the trendiness that I'd witnessed disappeared. I had heard about this - shops that sometimes happen to carry great stuff, and others make you want to poke your eyes out. Not because the clothes are ugly, but because they are not YOU. Not your generation; better suited to someone else. Kennedy's doesn't carry ugly clothes, nor does it carry clothes I'd not be caught dead it. What it does carry are clothes suited to the mum-types that hang around Forest Way drinking coffee waiting for school pick up. Some of these mum's are obscenely trendy and well dressed - hence the maroon I delighted in. And some are rockin' the same look that they were in the 1990's. So for the younger "trendy" crowd, Kennedy's is probably not your friend. Your Mum will love it, though.

She is an enthusiastic sales person but if you're willing to accept her help she really will pull something fantastic for you. Some of the clothes are way too ridiculous for me, but their range of bags is heaven. Most of the bags are priced at about $60, so they're pretty cheap. I love the large linen and 'leather' bags. There is also an awesome array of hats, especially during Winter. They have every type of beanie and hat you could ever imagine. It's fun to try them on, and decide if you're brave enough to actually wear it outside of the shop. I've actually bought a few beanie's like that, and unless I'm lounging around at home where no-one can see me, I wont wear them. But that's just my poor judgment and lack of fashion sense. Finkl really does have some great items, so if you're ever in Burwood have a little peek in Finkl, you'll likely find something you love.
