Located in a basement with the entrance hidden in an alleyway off a courtyard in the middle of town, Spaghetti Notte is a little gem that is frequented mostly by locals. It's super family friendly, your kids will get something to colour in and, if they let the staff hang it up on the wall in the restaurant, get a little treat. Pricing is very fair, with the most expensive maxi sized Spaghetti dish coming in at around €15. But the menu also holds a bunch OMG other delicious dishes for those that might want a break from pasta. It's not fancy, but the food is so good that you won't care, and I doubt anyone in your party will leave unsatisfied.

When it arrived, in strips that revealed a deep pink surrounded by a perfect brown, our giving in to minor gluttony was justified: it was so tender that no knife was needed to cut this up, and we recalled stories of Kobe beef. When we complimented the chef he told us that the meat was from a private farm in Ireland where cows were treated as per the Japanese method -- no surprise, then. Everything is made by hand and it's about as close as you can get to home-made quality without scoring an invite to a local's home. Some of my favorite go-to's here include Tagliatelle al ragù (there is also a variation that is made using Sangiovese wine that's fantastic), lasagna and grilled vegetables. Also don't leave without trying one of their amazing desserts (can't go wrong with Panna Cotta + caramel sauce). You'll need to speak a little Italian to come here (no English menus) but the wait staff is friendly and they will do their best. If you can manage to communicate enough to order you won't regret it. The food is simply amazing.
