I sent them a message thru their website and they did not respond. Then I called multiple times and left messages and no one returned my calls. Then I get a text message from them asking me to provide them with my name, city and day and again no response after texting them several times. If this is how they start, I can't imagine what it would be like once they are hired. Please be more professional if you have a business; I understand if you are busy but just let the consumer know. read more

Beware before your hire!!! You need to know that what you did saturday was unacceptable and unprofessional. You ruined a carefully planned moment in someone's special day. You ignored our calls and didn't communicate until 45min after your hired time. You stressed and delayed our event for 45 minutes, something we planned for months and invested in financially. This lack of professionalism will not go untold if i can help another family from going through what we did by hiring you I absolutely will. April 2025 read more

Mariachi Ausente - they were hired to entertain at our wedding from 5-7pm this was their response 45min after numeros unanswered called. - Musicians Near Me

Mariachi Ausente was booked for my son's wedding at Rancho Los Cerritos in Long Beach. My experience was a good one, overall. The leader of this group, Columba was very professional. My communications were responded promptly. She offered choices without " travel fees or additional riders. The show up early.Prentation was excellent. Their harmonies were beautiful with raves from the Mexican side of the family. Good looking group. Overall terrific Mariach. , I was very pleased with my dealings with MARIACH AUSENTE. Eduardo Rosales, Long Beach Ca. read more

My father in law had passed away and we wanted to hire a great mariachi for his funeral. Money wasn't an object, we wanted the best. I looked and looked for one and I found mariachi ausente. I had seen great reviews and saw they were on jimmy kimmel and have done some great gigs. I loved their videos! Started following on IG and our family was so happy with our choice. I had let Mariachi Ausente know that they only had to preform 2 songs and that was it, as the cemetery only allowed 2 songs. I paid Mariachi Ausente for a full hour for basically only 15 minutes max of them playing. Which wasn't a problem, like I said we just wanted the best. Halfway through the first song, (which was maybe 4 minutes into their set) the trumpet player was texting during the song. He treated our family like we were band practice. I was so disappointed that he would show such disrespect for the dead. Which wasn't only one time he pulled out his phone it was multiple times. I was in complete shock that he did not think twice to jump on his phone during a song. Literally people crying watching the mariachi playing and he is texting. I messaged whoever sent me the contract about how unprofessional it was and how upset I was. I reread the contract and word for word it says Mariachi Ausente agrees to play uninterrupted for the agreed time with the exception of breaks. I could understand if I had asked for the full hour of playing time. However it was 15 minutes max. When I had pointed out that there was a breech in contract I was told upon reviewing the video his part went uninterrupted. If it's a big event I'm sure they don't treat people like that, but seeing how it wasnt we were treated like it was another day at band practice. Very disappointing read more

The mariachi was a hit and an amazing surprise for all our guests to enjoy! We did our grand entrance with them and they coordinated so perfectly! We arranged a set list for songs to play and they played them all, we were so happy. We have received so many compliments of how great they sounded musically. Having them for our wedding was the best decision we made! Thank you Mariachi Ausente for making our wedding even more perfect! read more

I was disappointed in this mariachi. I hired them for a special event. I couldn't understand why it was taking so long in between songs. I realized why. They were looking up the words to some songs. They were reading the words off their phone while they were singing. I've hired many mariachis and have seen many mariachis at other events and have never seen a mariachi having to read the words to songs off a phone while they're singing. Mariachis should know the words to the songs they sing. They obviously knew the song or else they wouldn't have been able to play it. Know the words! We were charged $1350 for 2 hrs. Not worth it. read more

Hired this group 3 mos before my event . I sent a message to confirm a month before . I was told 7 band members would arrive , charge $1350. Received a text confirmation the night before . Band arrived on time , I confirmed with the band leader that there were 7 , he lied to my face and said yes when there were only 6. I specifically hired this group because I wanted there to be women in the group. Not one female arrived . Apparently not one member of this group arrived , they handed off my party to this group , and still had the audacity to want to charge me the full amount of $1350 , even though only 6 members . Then asked for payment up front ... tried cutting out early .... ANDDDD drank MY BEER between each song ! I messaged the band leader of the original group a few days later , with absolutely no apology much less any response ! Completely unprofessional! I recommend taking your business elsewhere! This group is a joke !!!!! read more

Best mariachi ever! We've had my mom's 70th birthday party this weekend and since the time they arrived until the time they left they were amazing ! They made people sing (even my mom) , dance and enjoy the night. The music was phenomenal. They were very professional and brought microphones: etc. EVERYONE was also very polite and friendly. I had 7 different families ask me for their number for future events. I will definitely be getting them for my future parties :) read more

I was looking for a Mariachi to perform at the celebration of life for my father. Every family get together always had a Mariachi, and I wanted to make sure this was no different. They responded quickly, and I liked the videos that were provided. I was quite happy to book them. The contract came quickly, and I returned it the same night. I asked for details on getting them the deposit to make sure they had what they needed to get the date. I was assured the date was set. This is where things started to go wrong. I wrote to them several times about the deposit, and never got an answer. I tried checking in with them over several weeks, but there was either no written response, or my phone calls went to a full mailbox. I began to worry about them showing up, but it was too late to book another group. On the day of the event, I tried again to call several times and got the full mail box notice, as well as a text message that they were working and to send a text to them. I hoped that meant that they were on their way. The event came and went without any sign or call from them. I am profoundly disappointed in this group. The quality of their recorded performances means nothing if their business practices are so shoddy. Perhaps I will frame the signed contract as a lesson on working with unprofessional groups in the future. read more

We've had plenty of Mariachi's at previous events and this group was by far the best we ever hired!!!! Really great mariachi! I was able to text and get a fast reply. It was for Mother's Day and my Abuelita, mom, and tias were balling. The group had a wonderful demeanor and with each number it was like an individual new performance. They all seemed to be multitalented in their instrument as well as their singing voice. I do have to apologize for the heat though! It was overcast in the morning and I swear to god as soon as they walked in the fucking clouds parted from the heavens and it was super hot. Regardless, they were amazing. The women in my family are notorious "criticonas" And they had nothing but good things to say about the group. From the way they were dressed to the way they performed. They quoted me 500 for an hour if it was before noon, otherwise it's a minimum of 2 hours. More than worth the money, especially for a 6 piece group. read more

If I could give this mariachi 0 stars I would but it doesn't let me , do not hire this "mariachi" booked them for my daughters quince sent them a deposit and SIGNED A CONTRACT all for them. I was in search for a mariachi at the very last minute ( literally 4 days away ) for a 60th birthday dinner and so glad I came across Mariachi Ausente. Cesar was precise and answered my questions in a promptly manner. Very easy to set up the contract and finalize payment. The day of he msg to advise he was on his way and so pleased they arrived on time. The group was young with great appearance, clean, and pressed uniformed suits. They all had a very cheerful, charismatic attitude. Made the crowd laugh a couple of times. They sang and played in tune, you were able to notice they sang from the heart. Will definitely hire them again and highly recommend them. Price was a little over average but definitely worth it. read more

My family & I hired Mariachi Ausente for my brothers memorial services yesterday. We were so happy and relieved that they were perfect. Not only did they have great voices but they were well dressed, very professional and on time! My brother loved mariachis and I wasn't about to hire just any group. I wanted to hire the best for the best. I wanted to honor him appropriately and I feel that I couldn't have hired a better mariachi group My guests thoroughly enjoyed them and so did my family. This review comes three months late, but it's very well deserved. Booked this group for my mom's 75th birthday and they knocked it out the park. It was scorching hot that morning, but they showed up in full outfit and really created a magical birthday. Tears and laughter. Simply a great band. On time, great communication, multiple voices including female singers, and very reasonable price. The whole family was amazed. Will definitely book in the future again. Highly recommend. read more

My wife was looking for a Mariachi group to play for a fiesta themed baby shower. After searching for and listening to several groups on Yelp, I came across Mariachi Ausente. I can personally attest that If you are looking for a great Mariachi group, stop right here and get them on your event calendar. Mariachi Ausente is a group of six musicians that will provide your event with not only great and traditional Mariachi music but make your event memorable by providing great vocals and accomplished instrumentals. Their traditional authenticity in both dress and repertoire, brought tears to the eyes of our guests from Mexico. Yes, they are just that good. Cesar, the manager of the group was very responsive and professional. Check out their web site at http://mariachiausente.com. read more

I didn't know what to give to my wife for Valentine's Day since for the past years I got her all kinds of gifts with ideas. Today Mariachies crossed my mind but I thought it's to late to schedule such a premiere. I called Cesar and the problem was solved right away. They were standing in front of my gates in 18 minuets, I hardly made to get flowers after my conversation with him. The group of five dressed and armed with instruments started to sing and play under our balcony loud, I borrowed neighbors lather and climbed with flowers to second floor balcony:) My wife was happy I was happy and all the neighbors were happy with their phones recording!! NOT GOOD If I could give this group a -5 I would. The best top ten .....Mariachi en Los Angeles is a group of immature superficial & bad customer service individuals with many years of experience hurting families and creating a memory of pain, disappointment, regret, and horror from trusting a narcissistic business owner C.Rios . This business owner who is an "electrical engineer according to his bio" did not show any empathy or consideration that the birthday girl got Covid 19. On their website page it stated "Consider one of top 10 Mariachis in Los Angeles." really who said that ..... how is that even creditable ,,,," Devoted, seasoned, and eager to perform, ( really, we tried to postpone date of event until next year and he said " no you will not get your deposit back you will need to give me a new deposit ......I will use your deposit for advertising). This group "ensured that this transaction was memorable"..Im glad I could help you fund your business during this pandemic. I am sure this review will be taken down because he took down other BAD reviews. read more

VERY BAD experience with Mariachi Ausente.
