Very friendly greeting at the door and the owner must have been around 5 times asking all the diners how things were. Very good service and the food arrived in good time, pipping hot.
The wienerschnitzel Princess was very good. The veal was nicely done with a nice crunch on the outside but tender inside. I loved the idea of spargel on top with melted cheese, although the spears were a bit overcooked. Great side of frites, more in the style of Dutch fries than the thinner ones more common in Germany.
The trout was also cooked nicely. A bit of a coating on the skin was okay but it tasted better without it. The steamed taters were well cooked, i.e. not mushy, just right.
Oops, forgot to mention the feldsalat to start. Mmmmm
