We landed in Barcelona at 3:30, by 4:30 we were at our hotel. 30 minutes later we were sitting down for an amazing dinner. Everything was amazing. The Lobster pasta dish was huge and very tasty. My Lasagna was piping hot and full of meat sauce. The wine list is extensive with very good prices. We ended dinner with a complementary Lemonchello. Fantastic. The service was top level.
Voted one of the best pizzeria in the world - and it's in Barcelona! After shopping in the Catalunya area of the city, I stumbled across this restaurant on the way back to Passeig de Gracia. Server Luciano was great - recommended a great bottle of wine and pizza and the chicken Caesar salad. Pizza-4 stars - delicious!
Very good pizza with crust that is thin and just the right texture... crispy and chewy. You won't leave feeling like you just ate a ton of salt like with many pizzas. The toppings were plentiful and flavorful. My partner liked the eggplant Parmesan as well. We sat outside at lunchtime on a Sunday and the place wasn't very busy. Service was spotty. Our order was taken promptly but later no one came by to see if we needed anything. We had to finally go inside to flag down the waiter to get the check. The women's bathroom door didn't lock. Overall, not a bad place for a casual lunch with slightly better than average food at higher than average prices, but not great service.
The food was delicious! The servers worked together as a team, and we felt well taken care of. We enjoyed our meal and the service. Would come here again!
GREAT place for pizza. Wonderful staff, especially Andi ( he is so nice) friendly and helpful. GO when your feeling the need for a little Italian love in Spain. Really cute place!
Margherita Ristorante Pizzeria is a solid pizza and Italian spot in Barcelona, Spain! Their menu is super diverse, including options for individuals on any diet. We ordered the potato gnocchi. pizza capricciosa, and pizza margherita. The potato gnocchi was cooked in an homemade Genovese pesto with basil, parmesan, pine nuts, and garlic. The gnocchi was soft and packed with pesto flavor! The pizza capricciosa had a tomato sauce base and was topped with mozzarella, mushrooms, artichokes, peppers, and black olives. I took off the ham since I'm vegetarian! Overall the pie was cooked well done to a char and was a great Italian neapolitan style slice. The pizza margherita had a tomato base and was topped with mozzarella and basil. It was the classic margherita slice! I definitely recommend trying Margherita out when visiting Barcelona!
The food here was delicious. It is a bit on the pricier side, but is a nice sit down restaurant. I split the mushroom cream pasta and the Burrata pizza with a friend and this was super filling. The Burrata was super soft and fluffy and melted in my mouth. We had two slices of pizza left. If you're looking for something a little lighter, I would recommend splitting one pizza. The drinks were really good. I highly recommend the passion fruit mojito, it's not too sweet but is well flavored. We initially had a waiter who was a bit pushy and rushed, possibly cause we were English speaking and asking questions about the menu. However, when Felippe took over as our waiter, our experience vastly improved and we really enjoyed our time. He was super friendly and took the time to make sure we were happy with everything.
Nice break for lunch. Had a very good pizza with ham, olives, artichokes & mozzarella big enough for the 2 of us to share. Inside very nice but there was a wait so we ate outside. Our server could not have been nicer. With a bottle of water and 2 beers the bill came to around $34 US - on the high side but worth it !
Our first dinner in Barcelona was incredible. I did not know pizza could be this good. Seriously. We ordered one as well as the best gnocchi dish. Who knew Barcelona had great gnocchi! That being said i had a steak prepared to perfection. And after a 13 hour flight a very tall beer was needed.

Absolutely great food even though we were in Barcelona and came permanently the pizza was fresh. The salad was delicious and my waitress was great. read more

Great ambiance and service from Greta! We had pizza and lasagna and they were both great! At the end we got a limoncello shot which was a nice touch. Tiramisu was also top tier! read more

We were so hungry and this place was the closest during our lunch time, so we stumbled in without a reservation. Apparently it's a big deal if you don't have a reservation and you get treated like crap if you don't have one, even if the place is empty. The food was great, but the way we were treated was NOT so I was torn on how to rate this place. Fortunately the service did get better as we had our meal, which helped this place regain some points. I guess it depends on your luck but we didn't have a reservation, so we were given the cold shoulder and told to wait 10 minutes. The menu was nice with a variety of items to choose from and it was hard to choose between the pasta or the pizza. I ended up having the four cheese pizza and my husband had the Bell Pizza. The four cheese pizza was EXCELLENT! It was loaded with cheese and very warm. The gorgonzola adds the perfect touch. The Bell Pizza was pretty sad. Essentially it was just a bunch of red sauce with 4 small blobs of mozzarella. If you actually want food, I would NOT recommend The Bell. Both pizzas were pretty big in size and can be eaten by one super hungry person or shared amongst two. Overall a decent dining experience. The price is a little higher than a lot of other pizza places, and the place has a more fancy and quiet atmosphere so we felt a little out of place being in our causal tourist clothes. I guess do yourself a favor and quickly make a reservation online before you go because it's pretty ridiculous and uncomfortable how they treat you if you don't have a reservation. read more
Recommend you have a reservation. Made mine online 10 minutes before we got there. Ask you if you have a reservation, and if you say no possible wait. Go figure; the meal and service were excellent. Felt like our last trip to Italy. My wife said the sea bass was the best meal in Spain. Pasta's were good. For a change of pace from tapas you can't go wrong at Margherita. read more

Pizza was delicious!! We went there for dinner it's very nice and clean! The staff was very friendly and helped us make a decision on the menu..also their homemade tiramisu was to die for!!! Must try for sure! read more
The jet lag was hitting us hard from our over night flight the night before, but we knew we had to get some dinner and get on the time in Europe. We chose to stay close to our hotel (The Gallery) and got a recommendation that this place right next door was good, so we decided to go for it. It was a long narrow place and we were greeted right at the beginning of dinner service. We were led upstairs to a loft-like area where it looked like a few friends were enjoying after work drinks. We had a nice table to ourselves. Our daughter loves pizza, so of course she had to order the spicy pepperoni. My wife loves a good frutti di mare, and saw that on the menu, deciding it sounded interesting to try in Europe. I went with a baked gnocchi that was fantastic! Not knowing what to expect, and tired from jet lag, the service seemed slow, but it was good anyway. We were due to go to Italy on our trip and hoped to eat something more authentic of Spain, but this really did fit the bill for what we wanted. read more

Very delicious Italian restaurant! We shared a delicious wood oven pizza and each had pasta dishes. I wish the pasta was a bit more al dente but it was delicious nonetheless. More expensive than Piazza di Italia but also fancier. The decor and aesthetic if this place is so trendy! read more

This review is for dinner experience. Came here without reservation because it's right next to the hotel we stay - Gallery Hotel. It was around 7:30pm, and we were seated in 10 minuets. Then no one attended us for over 15 - 20 minutes until we asked for a waiter. We ordered (dessert review comes in the order end): Focaccia: really good (which makes me believe they make good pizza too) wild cod (Branzino Selvaggio) - it was really good pasta forno Margherita - regular, nothing special about it pasta with seafood - as soon as they put the plate in front of me, I knew one of the seafood wasn't fresh ( I grew up in a town where seafood is daily food). After I took a bite of the clam, I spit out right the way- it wasn't fresh and it was under cooked. I retuned the dish, then ordered Branzino Selvaggio (wild cod) to be safe. Again, I waited 30 minuets when my husband and daughter had finished eating, the replaced dish still didn't come. I had to call the waiter to ask to cancel the order, then it showed up with the owner or manager giving us complimentary dessert as an apology. You would think the fish had to be done perfectly this time. Nope, it was undercooked with pink color right under fish skin. So I have to return it as well. Don't want to go back to hotel hungry, I ordered tiramisu and Baba (Rum sponge). I tasted alcohol from the Tiramisu which I like but it would be nice if the waiter mentioned it since we shared the tiramisu with our daughter. For the Baba ( Rum sponge), I have tasted better Rum sponge from little Italy in Manhattan. I don't know how this restaurant got 4.5 from Yelp and TripAdvisor??!!! The good ratings must come from outstanding pizza, definitely NOT dinner. read more

Came highly reviewed and completely agree with the quality and tastiness of the food. My wife and I got a Cacio pepper pasta and A buffalo Mozzarella pizza. We also got an amazing chocolate soufflé to finish off the night. The only reason for three stars was that service was very slow at the beginning they did not provide us additional plates or any oil for our bread when it came out. I still highly recommend this place for anybody who wants vegetarian options. read more

best pizza ever!!! 10/10 would recommend!! it was perfection. Cozy location, nice staff, and mostly, an amazing pizza! Might seem a bit pricey, but honestly, I would happily pay 20€ for a pizza this good (the one with burrata, pesto and sun dried tomatoes) read more

This is becoming our Barcelona tradition. Wonderful Sangria. Delish Margherita pizza. Loved the wild caught sea bass. Friendly and efficient staff. We will be back next time we visit this beautiful city. read more

It was a little pricey but very delicious and pretty space. This was a treat of a dinner, putting for a little more high-end experience. The sangria was delightful but a bit expensive. My man had baked pasta which was amazing and I had the lasagna. Honestly, I could have eaten so much more. But I am a pig when it comes to Italian. We also split a Caesar salad which was a little heavy on the dressing but a nice way to start the meal. Overall I would definitely recommend this place. read more

We tried the dessert, pizza and gnocchi and they all were delicious. The ingredients were fresh in all dishes. The waiter was super nice and helpful. Definitely will go again when i visit barcelona read more

If you are downtown Barcelona and want simple but good Italian food, this is your place. Great selection of pizzas and pastas, including some unique options (e.g Buratta Pizza). Nice restaurant atmosphere. Fast service and most of the staff speak good English - if you need it. Some interesting Italian wines on the list as well. Recommended! read more
